Anyone who acts for certain about any of this is a complete brainwashed moron. There is nothing certain about what is or isn't happening. Nobody really knows. If you want to lean towards the belief that it's humans causing it, then there's nothing wrong with that, but try to add some leniency towards the opposing side rather than acting like you're part of a cult.

Does anyone else think that there is an enormous amount of hubris from these people who are so certain of their facts about climate change?

brb Earth has been around for 6 billion years, we have been measuring climate for between 50-1000 years. In this context 50 or 1000 years is a rounding error

brb we know everything about the environment around us from our science, which is falsifiable and open to interpretation

brb the human mind doesn't suffer from confirmation bias, emotion, availability bias (insert any number of human mental weaknesses)

brb humans always think logically at all times

You people who label everyone else "climate-deniers" or whatever have no fkn idea what you're talking about either. Maybe homo sapiens weren't meant to exist to infinity ay cuz. Maybe we are essentially parasites on Earth, depleting it of its' natural resources due to our own greed...

Leonardo DiCaprio's Carbon Footprint Is Much Higher Than He Thinks

-DiCaprio himself is one of those big polluters,
-diminishes his moral authority to lecture others on reducing their own carbon emissions

A lot of ad hominem attacks.

Happy for people to hate on him as an individual who breaks his own rules (as humans do), but not much about his points and the science.

That's the sad thing - what he's saying in the movie may be true. But he doesn't practice what he preaches, so it's tough to take him seriously.
He was at the Canne film festival a few months back. He hopped on a private jet to NY, picked up an "Environmental Action Award", then flew back to Canne.

Also on Lindzen. Lindzen is not a denier, you do realize that right? He is just a massive skeptic on how the information is being interpreted.

"According to an April 30, 2012 New York Times article,[68] "Dr. Lindzen accepts the elementary tenets of climate science. He agrees that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, calling people who dispute that point "nutty." He agrees that the level of it is rising because of human activity and that this should warm the climate." He also believes that decreasing tropical cirrus clouds in a warmer world will allow more longwave radiation to escape the atmosphere, counteracting the warming.[68] Lindzen first published this "iris" theory in 2001,[9] and offered more support in a 2009 paper.[51]"

People far more intelligent than you beg to differ. Please go.

You realize that didn't answer chit right? We still don't know how much CO2 the ocean can absorb.

Cold water absorbs carbon dioxide quicker, absolutely earth shattering information there.
LMAO yeah that's the reason. strong understanding of different fuel types. lawlcuck strikes again.

Guarantee none of you cucks slamming Leo even watched the documentary otherwise you would know he addressed the fact that he leaves a bigger carbon footprint than most and that is why they paid a carbon tax for the production of the documentary.

Yeah we get it. It's sad that it takes a celebrity for people to care about the fact that we are destroying the planet but since there are still people who actually believe climate change is a hoax even though over 97% of the scientific community agrees that humans are having a huge impact on climate. And seeing as how we live in a hurdurr society where people only give a **** about celebrities they are appealing to the masses.

It's not him spewing his own opinions in this documentary. It's him interviewing extremely knowledgeable people. There is nothing in this documentary that can be disputed. It's very well done and just lays out what is ACTUALLY happening.

No, our position is rooted in empirical evidence. We have thousands (yes, literally thousands) of peer reviewed academic literature supporting our position. We have an absolute consensus among the experts. I know you think you're being skeptical, open minded and even intellectual by questioning the anthropogenic degree of relevance. You're not. The only thing you're doing is emphasizing how much of a colossal disaster the public education system is.

I don't get why these celebrities make stupid **** like this, they really do act as though they're above everybody else.

Also climate change has been happening since the beginning of earth. Its just exactly the same as nature, animals go extinct/new ones appear, populations rise/populations drop, plants grow/plants die.

The worlds climate will always change and it always has changed. I'm not denying that we are possibly speeding the process up but thats what happens when people make decisions, things change forever.

******* came and got a helicopter tour of my jerb for this thing. Would like to watch it but don't want to give the film any money or attention.

But then again, when I was 2 the snow used to come up to my chest and now it's barely deep enough to reach my knees, so I'm sure he has a great point.

I'll say it again.

In the 1970s these climate experts predicted we would be heading into global cooling.

Other 'experts' told us we would run out of oil by the mid 1990's.
How are you cars running?

It's good to be old sometimes as we remember the past.

you'd have to be an idiot to believe climate change isn't real at this point the entire world has signed a agreement to stop polluting as much, ice caps are melting and drastic weather changes. Your just simply a retard if you don't believe it. You think russia and china would agree to this sht if it wasn't real? The entire world is going to agree to cut back on production to not pollute as much because it's an "agenda" your fcking stupid boyo.

None of you miscers are even affected by the agreement for less pollution but you act like it effects you like it's a agenda to destroy your life. your fcking retarded.
