To answer the OP, it's cause as a brown brah who grew up in Canada since he was 2 years old I never felt discriminated against or marginalised by the system or by white brahs in any way, shape, or form. If anything, most of the hate I ever got or get is from what I thought were "friends" who always judge me for "not sounding brown enough" as per their words and being a white tryhard without realising that this is the only culture I really know unlike them. Obviously not friends anymore. I don't like when people judge people for being white-washed or claim someone is self-hating because how you act is determined by your external environment, not your background.

I don't know if my experience transfers over to brown brahs who are new to Canada. I will say there is a bit of racism from white chicks. I don't care if you don't wanna fuk me but some of them are legit racist although I don't experience it because I'm hansome as fuk [no brag]. There's a stereotype where I live that "all brown guys are creepy" and this label gets attached to you often for existing. I don't see it attached to any other race and if someone says it in public, no one will call them out yet if you say something about any other race people will give you looks. My friends complain about it often but I rarely experience it (partially because I don't put in the effort to hit on girls, I wait for them to stare at me). Like in 1st year uni, our floor was in the dining hall and this chick started having a panic attack because she had to sit beside me. It's like you don't even know me. Yea she was from a brown town and obviously formed judgements about brown people but way to come to a conclusion without even knowing me you sloth. Then this white brah understood what's going on and sat in between us. By the end of the year she was tryna hook up, but that one incident kinda pissed me off too much, sorta left me jaded.

So yea, that's the extent of racism I've faced. Just from having a label attached to brown people but I don't have to deal with it too much personally. However, I will say when I was out-east (in NB) and brought this up to a girl I was dating, she said she had no clue what I was talking about. People in smaller towns/provinces are more naive, less aware, and generally much nicer.

Quite a bit of assumptions, and race worshipping in this thread. Thinking that knowing a few Indian people and taking a few trips to India makes you an expert on how and why individuals that are oart of a race act. So many posts saying "Indians and even Asians are good boys, you other minorities get your act together," then ethnic jokes galore comes in from all angles with the usual pinning one race as more racist to make another race seem less racist. I know it's easier to just make assumptions on race based from personal experience and videos, but it would seem great if people took the extra effort to judge people individually. Long story short, take their race out of the equation and ask them why they don't riot when people insult them, I mean they are your friends right? Story not made up?

I don't know any Indian man who uses those products and I know a lot of Indian men. Go to India yourself and try to count how many "white" colored men you can see from using those products. The vast majority of Indian men are happily brown. Tbh, the average Indian man doesn't even care about how he looks - a lot won't even bother combing their hair. I prefer my brown skin, would never want to be lighter, and have never felt or been told that my skin color isn't attractive.
