If you get a poverty spec one sure, spec it decently with msport/nav etc and their interiors are good. I like the simplicity, i had an audi a5 and hated all the fukin buttons. Each to their own.

Audi has caught up to BMW in terms of performance. My 2013 S6 outperforms the 550i for the same price. The A6 3.0T outperforms the 535i

The Audi "S" cars aren't direct competition to the BMW "M" cars. They're priced lower and less prestigious. The "RS" cars are supposed to be the direct competition, but Audi doesn't have that many "RS" models in the US currently.

For previous generations, I agree with you. BMW pretty much outperformed equivalent Audi models across the board. Times are changing.

You guys know I made this because the bmw brahs always say bmw's have nice interiors, American car interiors are poverty blah blah

but when I posted a fairly recent m3 with poverty interior "bmw's are for people who like driving, not about interiors"

BMW interiors where rubbish during the e36 era...fell apart (roof lining, door panels, glove box etc). Then pre 2000s they became beautiful, simplistic, durable and functional during the e38, e39 and e46 eras (owned an e36 and e46). They became somewhat as polarizing as the exteriors with the e60, e66 and e90 days during the bangle era.

They have improved once again, and while I do somewhat agree that Mercedes has the best interiors (design) these days...they have also had their fair history of being dull and cheap interiors (failed electronics), while their exterior designs have had inconsistencies and currently look like they are melting (some I love, others not so much). Audi makes quality interiors, but their exterior designs have been the same bland copy pasta design since the B5 A4 days and their driving dynamics have always fallen behind the other marques, with the Audi R8 being the exception.

Each Brand has its pros and cons.

Current Bimmer interiors seems to have gone back to the e46, e38 and e39 ethos with more modernity...

American interiors are bad because they're cheap, in terms of materials and build quality. BMW have great materials and build quality, it's the design that is so bad. They haven't had any new ideas for about 15 years.

75% of bmw owners r fgts srs. usually buy the entry level beamer and brag about it.

even the guys with the m cars are loser. brb mustang corvettes **** on them but its not a beamer.

anwyas.

mercedes s class has goat interior atm. never liked bmw interiors for some reason.

audi has nice interiors as well.

lexus have boring but nice interior along with the other jap cars.
the one thing i like about japanese cars is that they use touch screens. Germans don't like touch screens.

The one thing I never understood why don't japanese cars partner with those electronic companies like sony,Panasonic etc. and make the best touch screen interface for a car?

Basically this.

BMW maintain a stylistic lineage inside and out. The moment you get in you're reminded of another BMW you drove. They don't follow trends or try to wow you (or the journalists) in the showroom based on the look the first time you sit in one. It's about quality, reliability, and performance. I never even had a single cup holder in my 120d and good luck getting a bicycle in the back of a 3 kombi... Those features have nothing to do with the focus of the car. If you want an all-rounder then buy a Honda/Toyota. If you want a trendy gadgety car then get the Audi. If you want a nice interior get a Mercedes or a British car. BMW doesn't give a chit and obviously neither do the people buying them.

Just lol @ Ford/GM coming up with these progressive interiors full of buttons, chrome, raised bevels, bumps and edges... in 3 years they look so dated and motivate you to buy the new look.
this is how audi is still surviving. performance like garbage for the price compared to bmw, but interior from the heavens. this is from the same era as the e92.

[img]http://www.sensethecar.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/2013-Audi-S4-Avant-Interior-2.jpg[/mg]
That's a 2013+ model s4.

Also with a simple tune, with no hardware mods, you can add 80AWHP to the car and still have it be 100% reliable as stock. Audi nerfed the s4 cause they didnt want it to eat into rs4 sales in EU.
