Does not tell us much. Where do you go? What do you enjoy and not enjoy. Where do you stay? Just work and leave, or have any time to see chit, etc, etc. One could easily say that about the US if they went to Detroit, worked, and left. Just sayin'

would rather vacation in Aleppo or Raqqa than anywhere in India. I'm feeling sick just reading the thread. **** everywhere. Everyone who goes gets upset stomach. People not washing their hands after ****ting, filth, people bathing with a fuking corpse floating in the water.

Unfortunately, not at the moment. This is due to a new office opening down there where we will need to have people down there to help run the office and train the new staff and stuff.

Anything cool to check out nearby (meaning able to do a weekend trip without spending a fortune) from Bangalore, either in India or otherwise?

Their cultural views on hygiene are enough to keep me away.

Chris Rock had an interview a few years back where he declared that there is no part of Africa that is worse to visit than India (and he'd been all over Africa). He said that upon arrival at the New Dehli airport, he saw a pile of animal dung right next to the luggage carousel.

I don't eat at indian places here in Canada anymore.

Too scared their going to have some FOB cook wiping his ass with his hand working in the back.

This. It's really that not bad of a place as misc describes.
Honestly there are some good parts like any country (goa, Taj Mahal, etc).
But for a vacation, might want to avoid it and pick somewhere else. Unless you dig the whole new experience thing.

No idea bro, never been there and unless someone else was covering the bill, doubt I ever will. Just nothing about the place ever interested me.

My former company built oilfield equipment. The Chinese guys that worked for us had basically been everywhere... Africa, Russia, Turkey, Europe, Middle East, India, etc. They said hands down the worst place was India because it was so filthy and the food poisoning. All the American people i know that have been there always got the chits. The biggest problem is simply the water and any food that comes in contact with it. I don't see how you can avoid that unless you only eat packaged food like snickers bars all day.

Have never been but have had friends go, every single one (srs) ended up with really bad food poisoning, one had tape worms/blood coming out of angus. The poor there are disgustingly poor, crime seems pretty common. I guess it depends on where you go, but if you go outside any of the "rich" areas, stay safe. It's definitely not the easiest place to travel.

Would definitely choose a place in Southeast Asia like Thailand before India.
