He's not one of my personal favorites; but he's pretty much as big a name as there is in Hollywood.

People are in here saying Ed Norton & Sam Rockwell lmao. I think the thread calls for names a little smaller than that. Maybe it's just me.
I call it "Celebration". It's sexual, and violent...

I just remember him from Chronicle and that horrible Spiderman movie. Thought he was an awesome villain.

Would say Michael B Jordan after Friday Night Lights but his career has really taken off recently.

John Stamos, SRS. I think he may be too handsome for hollywood to cast him. Did full house and died off...

completely agreed on both of the Never Back Down guys. when that came out i thought we had a movie on our hands that people would look back at down the road as the start of both of their hugely successful careers.

Cam randomly shows up here and there in twilight and most recently Magnificent 7

Ethan Hawke was always a big name actor. I think at this point he picks roles that interest him.

Jude Law - What happened to this guy? He went bald and disappeared.
Skeet Ulrich
Thora Birch - Apparently her dad messed up her career and got her blacklisted.

I figured I'd see more of the Entourage cast in other movies after the show, I know they've all basically made it, but just thought they'd get more roles.

This. He seems to be more of an indy guy. Only picks roles he likes.

Was great in the N.W.A. movie. He is also quite ugly so he is unlikely to ever be a leading man.

He had huge drug problems. Was high during the entire Blade 3. They had to remove most of his dialogue.

Started playing moustached old dudes. Maybe in 20 years he has the last laugh, when he is still cast in similar roles.

Look at any of the top grossing movies from the past decade. They're all popcorn bull****. If you're a real actor, a real artist, you would try hard not to compromise your art for business. Plus with "television shows" more lucrative than ever, why take a chance headlining a movie. It's a big gamble, plus with a recurring series you can really develop a character and potentially have more creative control.

Jesse is in Triple 9, an awesome heist/mob/shootout movie...check it out. Woody Harrelson is in it too.

id argue that Matthew mcconaughey was on a path to mediocrity doing romantic comedies and being typecast in that role.

that was until 2013/2014, when he did Dallas Buyers Club, True Dinktective, and Interstellar. After that trifecta, he's now a top-tier A-list actor. hope he gets brought on for True dink s3

Even though Christopher Walkden is big, I've always been surprised he isn't megastar status. Dude is up there with Marlon Brando for GOAT actors.

Dude, I love Jay Mohr's story about him. Early 2000s he wasn't getting work. Forest went to his agent's office before lunch and sat down in the lobby with a stack of books. The receptionist asked if he had an appointment and he quietly replied, "No, no appointment." His agent went out to lunch and came back, and the afternoon pushed on to 5pm. When they were closing up the receptionist informed him they were closing and if there was anything they could help him with. He put down a book, looked up and politely told her, "Well, _____ hasn't found a role for me and I have nowhere to be, so I'll wait here until he finds me something."

He was on set filming episodes of ER within 24 hours.
