I like the haircut in the OP. My hair is curly (I'm black), so I couldn't ever have my cut look like that. I've been rocking some type of fade/shaved sides haircut for the past two years or so. I had a high top fade for nearly a year. Now, it's just a bit shorter but the sides are still shaved.

Mine is similar to dude in the following picture, but shorter with a lower fade.

My hair is super curly and thick and I do it short sides and back but my god if you do this hairstyle with fine thin hair with a fade like that. Never on that ****gy time.

SS cut is a lot shorter with less volume but there's a million different ways to do an "undercut"

Having hair on top that long and short on the sides would be annoying. I can only imagine how worried they are about having the wind mess up their hair.

Dope! I used to have mine at that length but I got tired of having to comb the hell out of it in the morning, when my hair gets nappy, or after I put a hat on. The winters are harsh where I live (-30 to -40 C sometimes), so headwear is a must.

been growing my hair for the past 6 months to get it exactly like that guy, and no matter how hard i try i dont have enough volume for my hair to be styled like that, even though my hair is already longer than that, idk wtf to do

You need to go to a barber that's not potato and get your hair layered to increase volume. You don't need your hair super long either, it should be about as long as your hand in the front then progressively get shorter as you go back to increase volume.
