1: The curvature of the Earth starts to become apparent at an altitude of 10 to 12 miles. This can be simulated with 3-D CAD. The data cited that is claimed to show a flat horizon is from anecdotal observations without technical description of the equipment used - basically worthless for verifying anything. There are only a handful of such photos, but thousands if not millions of photos showing a curved Earth. 2: A plane traveling 500 mph travels 8.3 miles a minute. In 8.3 miles the Earth's curvature is only 46 feet. Planes fly to essentially maintain a constant distance from the center of the Earth although referenced to sea level, which is about 3959 miles from the center of the Earth. It takes power to climb higher. Once the plane is trimmed, speed and power settings fixed, it will curve around the Earth at a constant altitude. 3: The atmosphere is dragged along with the Earth. There is nothing up there at the outer limits of the atmosphere to stop the it from moving with the Earth. This is a really stupid claim. The Earth is rotating toward the East. The balloon is held relatively static over the test site by the atmosphere affected only by the wind. That Baumgartner landed East actually would be expected by the spinning Earth model if the balloon was directly over the test site when he jumped because at that altitude he is rotating faster than the surface of the Earth and his relative density (compared to the balloon) would allow him to maintain his higher eastward velocity as he descended, until he opened his chute.. 4: Level means that at any point it is perpendicular to the plumb of the Earth. The plumb points to the center of the Earth and therefore level must curve around the Earth. Water doesn't have any special properties to make it lie flat. In fact a drop of water won't lay flat - it beads up. 5: The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge design does take into account the curvature of the Earth as pointed out in another FE video (you FErs better get your act together). Civil engineers in road design do use geodetic surveyors (I mean how do geodetic surveyors even survive if the Earth is flat). 6: That astronomers have measured these speeds and motions, proves that they have been detected. The wobble is slight, about 30 feet over the period of more than a year. The key thing about all these motions is that the acceleration caused by them is very slight. We feel acceleration, not motion. Acceleration creates force, motion does not. 7: The constellation are very gradually changing - the claim of fixed constellations is false. The stars are extremely far away and most (in the Milky Way) are moving with us. And we do see changes every night with the planets that join us in the Solar System. 8: So now you are claiming Nasa has installed giant holographic projectors around the world to project images of the ISS or they have some nuclear powered giant drone flying around in the atmosphere. Based on what? that images wavering due to atmospheric effect must be holograms? These are really bizzaro ideas. 9: Composite images are not fake images. Aerial photography has been using composite images for over 80 years. Google uses composite imagery in Google Earth. NASA also has images of the complete Earth from satellites much further away than low Earth orbit. Other countries also have taken such images. Claiming that these images don't exist is a lie. There are only about 5,000 satellites orbiting the Earth and of those only about 2500 are still live. The 20,000 number includes debris, much of it from the Chinese destroying a satellite in orbit. 10: Virtually all the supposed "fake" NASA imagery, when analysed by an impartial judge is proven no fake. Flat Earthers are a bunch of amateurs who don't know what they are talking about. For the past 70 years of space exploration to be fake would require the largest hoax ever, involving millions of people and all the governments of the world.

So flat earth means its circular flat right? Then north pole is at the center of the circle where the diameter passes through right? Then that means Antarctica is spread out along the circumference of the FE and it is the circular edge? Do you mean the world government is guarding this perimeter so people cant go to the edge? Thats a huge area/line to guard from public. If people from south america can cross the border to the US, I'm sure people should be able to go to the edge and maybe fall off. At this current time we have, we should be able to see some youtube clips of dumbasses walking along the edge of the earth.Not really sure how this answered my question. I thought sextant measures the angle and the angle is dependent on the observers location or distance from the sun. It doesn't tell me how far the sun will vanish from my sight based on the FE theory.How is the outcome going to be the same if there is a tilt? It means at some point, you will be behind the center of the north pole of the spherical earth and wont be able to see the sun right?That's the point. I think at this point, the "documented" proof of a spherical earth still outweighs whatever available proof that the earth is flat.
Another point I always say to FE'er is that I think the burden is on them to prove that the earth is flat than for us non-believers to prove that the earth is spherical.

Someone is going to have to tell my company's 8 survey crews that they are in fact walking around with receivers that actually triangulate horizontal and vertical location from microwaved potato signals.

I'm skeptical of satellites. Take gps for example, which is essentially a rebranding of LORAN/decca claiming to initially be satellite-based to justify a huge tax cost. Or consider google maps, which uses high-altitude drones for google earth and land-based triangulation for navigation.

If you look beyond the first layer, it's hard to find anything that actually requires satellites. No, satellite radio is not based in space either.

Why would we need high altitude spy planes if we actually had real-time satellite footage anyways? But anyways, I'll usually argue the unpopular opinion despite belief. I gotta get off here though, brahs. The work day is done for me.

Do you believe in the existence of gravity? Thats usually one of the main arguing point of flat earthers. They believe there is no gravity to prove the earth is flat. That body of water cannot be contained along the surface of the earth if the earth is round.

Honestly, flat earth is something anyone should research decently if they got a few hours spare time.

Tbh i don't know if earth is flat or round, i've done my fair shair of research and their are indeed very convincing points for it to be flat.

However, what bothers be most is that when i was 10 i received a cheap telescope as birthday gift. I've seen a few of our planets in the solar system, they are all a sphere, the sun and moon are a sphere.


So tbh i don't know what the truth is, frankly i don't care it doesn't change anything whatsover.

In a day to day sense no but once you are through the looking glass then you see further and farthest as opposed to the tip of your nose.

Unreal. That's the beauty and ugliness of science. The beauty is that you can come up with a hypothesis and test it to prove or disprove it. The ugliness is that you can use it to come up with an obviously flawed conclusion. Our satellites and the ISS in space are just a myth, I guess.
