Got a 14/20 from the intelligency test tho, highest out of 70+ people.
I had to wait 6 months to re-apply again, re-applied last night, am already preparing for this for a long time. Hopefully I will succeed and make myself and family proud! LEO's over here make decent money, 1700-1800 euro / month without any bonuses + most expenses get paid.
Gonna hit the gym right now as in preparation, will rep all my fellow LEO brahs!

No way. I have family that are cops and when they are working night shifts it's mostly domestic violence and assaults.
So not only do you have to keep your cool, you gotta deal with the shadiest people. I wouldn't make a good cop.

Would I have to lie on the polygraph test (that has been proven to be b.s), or tell them the truth, and risk not being hired?
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

I wouldn't wanna be a police officer, but I could see reasons to be:
- Exciting
- Save lives (not only in the literal sense)
- Physical job
- Solve crime/murders
- Decent pay
Good luck OP. I hope you become a good cop.

i am one. i thoroughly enjoy it. I started at a very slow BFE department, unpaid for 2 years. I worked 2 days a week, 5 days a week at another job. Just recently got hired at a bigger department. I start out at 15.04 an hour. Max rate for patrolman is like 22/hr. I know the pay is ****ty, there are agencies starting out at like 90K+.
You have to really enjoy your job. For me it was never about pay, just wanted to help people. I enjoy being the guy people can call for help. That's what I consider a huge part of my pay, seeing someone break down in tears after you helped them is far more rewarding than a paycheck.
If you truly want to work this field you need to dedicate yourself. Long hours, chit pay, chit scheduling, kiss ass with your higher ups. Its a lot of bs, but I love it. srs. You see so much of humanity that most will never see. You see people at their absolute lowest, it's very humbling.

I have thought about it but the reasons I wanted to do it was because it seems like a cool job and I think I would look good in a police officer uniform, so superficial reasons. I am more interested in working border patrol for US/Canada.
