Now if you're giving me $50-100 Million to do that, then we may have a legit negotiation.

70,000X5 = 2,500,000

As has already been mentioned by a few, $5 Million in X Geographic Area simply doesn't go as far in another Geographic Area. So I would not waste 5 years for $5 Million, particularly when a good home in the most attratcive and amenity laden US cities is $700K to $1 Million USD, not including yearly amenities and utilities.

Go deeper into the previous pages of the thread.
Ok so if I understand correctly if you have 5 additional revenue streams providing 40k a year each (after tax) plus 70k from your primary, you only need like 23% compound interest.

Berkshire Hathaway's historical returns are around 20%, so you would be beating Buffett pretty significantly at 23%. Additionally, if your primary revenue stream is $70k and you have 5 more earning $40k each per year, you don't make $70k, you make $270k... and even if that is already after tax and inflation, you still need to account for living costs.

The main deciding factor is weather.

Somewhere warm like Cali, maybe.

Somewhere like Chicago?

Never.
The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

That's why grandma's apple pie rocks and yours sucks.

I remember seeing some jacked homeless guy sleeping in the Chicago pedway near the LA fitness and subway (between millenium station and Daley center).

I think he would shower at the gym, eat subway, and sleep on the floor of the pedway during the day
