It's 2017 do people still believe calories in = calories out?

As far as the above example, there isn't enough there without me watching the video to comment on. Some cats can lose weight on 4k calories. Obviously, he can continue to eat that and lose weight, or eat more and slow/stop the weight loss.

IIFYM has worked for me. If I eat a number 1 at McDonalds, I have to limit myself to protein shakes or chicken breasts for the rest of the day to hit my macros. I like it because it's mathematical and measured. If you rely on hormones you won't be able to tell if you'll lose weight, stay the same or gain weight the next day.

your body is complex very complex many things play a role. some food is more thermogenic. some food makes you feel slow and tired and more of it is stored while less of it is burned.

If I ate 4,000 calories and sat at my computer desk for 21 days straight while strenuously pulling on my dink and jigging my leg up and down for 10 hours straight, I'd lose weight.
The average person burns up to 50 calories an hour just standing up.
This obviously doesn't sound like much, but stand for 12 hours a day and theres 600 calories just burnt off from fukk all.
Do that each day and theres 4,000 odd calories burnt off. That's more than 1.5 days of calories for an adult male per week.
Sitting down is on average 25 calories an hour.
Moving your arm from your knee to your nose burns about 3 calories.
Obviously each person is different depending on their physicality.
A person weighing 400lbs is going to burn a chitload more calories standing up than someone weighing 150lbs.
Edit: I bolded the part in your comment that is bang on.
Everything is technically still energy output, your bladder filling up and then stretching and then you pissing it all out burns calories and is energy output.

But guess what smart guy, the sun can transfer energy from itself into something with more energy, and that energy will gradually increase, meaning the sun can make something hotter than the heat that resides in itself.
That's a law. Turns out it could be broken. It's still a law though.
I think you need to work on your education because you are really ignorant and stupid suggesting that something cannot be changed because of your uneducated opinion of it.

Step 5. stop commenting on chit you know nothing about, unless in fact you are a physicist, and if you are, same here, so I'm more than happy to exchange names and chit and talk about this in a more professional and dynamic way in which we can actually allude to something that we can both agree on, but I'm pretty sure we're arguing semantics because you said somebody said something about defying physics, when in fact no one was talking about it, so I just basically made you my bitch by showing you that laws of physics do not in fact relate to everything in the entire world (maybe the world that you know, but not the actual cosmos world etc)

But each and every person differs in body and in mind, therefore you have to assume that due to the amount of threads talking about "eating heaps and haven't put on weight" or "eating less and still not losing weight" is actually caused by the fact that each body depending on different potential factors such as hereditary traits etc impact the body far more than just simply input vs output. "

in general calories in and calories out holds true imo. but they are not independent of each other and what kind of calories affects both. calories in your mouth does not equal calories absorbed.

That's when they realised that the second law of thermodynamics DOES NOT apply to the sun.
And considering the second law does not apply to the sun, the first law stating energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred, has yet to be even broached upon by the scientific community because the closer you look, the harder it is to make sense of it all.
