I carry everywhere I go in Tennessee, even if posted. They can only ask you to leave, and if you refuse its a trespassing charge. Its a private business and no different than breaking any of their other rules *loitering, no shoes, etc* If its concealed correctly, noone sees it or knows you have it. Unless **** hits the fan and then everyone will be glad you had it. Like the saying goes, its best to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

The only place I dont carry is government buildings or anywhere that has metal detectors.

Would depend on state laws, if I planned to drink (I can and do go to a bar and have a diet Coke), if it was a high crime area, and other factors. Most I know feel booze and drink don't mix well, and tend to not go to bars armed if they plan to do a night of drinking, if they drink.

The real Q is, should it be illegal to CCW in a bar? That includes the waitress who gets off at 2am and has to walk back to her car alone, or her BF who shows up to get her after work and sits there for 10 mins having a ice tea to take her home, etc. The no guns in bars laws include everyone as a rule which makes no sense.

Here in Vermont, anyone can carry open or concealed without a permit. You can carry in bars, you can carry while drinking alcohol. Only places you can't carry are schools, courthouses, state buildings.

Then there are states where it's legal to carry at a bar and legal to drink while carrying, has been for decades, and it's not a problem

Can't carry a gun because you are cucked by bars. I mean.. let's real life here. We all have our own priorities. I myself haven't walked into a bar since I was in college about 20 years ago. Doesn't mean chit for a "normal life".

of course CCW is a life saver. not only for big shootings, but for everything else like car jackings, attempted robberys, hold ups, kidnappings, everything like that.

all it takes to save a lot of lives and stop violent crimes are a good person carrying a gun. I remember a video of like a 80 year old man in a slot machine place and a couple robbers came in and the old man calmly took his concealed carry gun and shot the bad guys. even a old man can save people.

The total number of women murdered by men in the state was just five in 2013, the year covered by the VPC’s most recent data, and only two were killed with guns.
And suicides are not gun violence.
