The two biggest scams out there right now:

Government
Religion

Also:
Any college major that contains the word "studies" or "history"(Women's Studies, East Asian Studies, Art History, etc)
public education beyond middle school(has the potential to be valuable, but just LOL@4 years of English and history in high school)
the world of commercial bodybuilding and everything it entails(competitions, supplements, magazines, etc)
most chain non-fast food restaurants, cheap chit food for premium prices
health insurance that has high deductibles
Asian massage parlors that don't give happy endings. Seriously, what's the point?

Just thought of another one:

So there's a lot of message boards/forums built for impressionable young men where users write up "datasheets" about their models & bottles lifestyle as they travel around the world as "digital nomads". "Dude, forget American women - just fly to the Philippines or Thailand or Bolivia or Etc like I did! I banged 4 chicks a day every day while there. Just stay there for about 3 weeks, then move on to the next place."

99% of these posts are fan-fiction. The people writing about them will always say they've developed some kind of "passive-income", and then side-step around ever discussing it, even though they're sharing a metric ton of other private details. Other times they'll post photos or links to their private blogs filled with photos........but all of the pics are stock photos.

What I'm saying is, anytime you read a thread about some guy going to a foreign country and discussing his baller life, you should assume he's a retail-worker at the mall and this is just his cope strategy. Otherwise he'd include pics of himself in front of famous landmarks and with that nation's sloots.

That the Republican and Democratic parties are significantly different.

The idea that all cultures are equal. Maybe in some bs liberal arts philosophical sense they are, but in reality, some cultures are far more barbaric and twisted than others. Race mixing is totally fine, but multiculturalism over assimilation is a fukking sham.

chicken or the egg scenario

"Give em Coke-cola for their property" - Lupe fiasco. basically he's saying some people dont want fast internets, and holloywood movies in exchange for their culture and traditions...yet some democracies insist on it...war happens, and obviously with war comes death and the feeling of vengance/revenge from people not even born yet

So much this! Seriously these guys always avoid explicit details when questioned about their "passive income". They will link you to a page that just states generic **** like find a unique talent and market it blah blah blah.

College (for the most part)
Wouldn't stretch it and say college is a scam "for the most part". The majority of college students aren't majoring in gender studies or English. And the average earnings over a lifetime for someone who has earned a bachelors degree vs a high school degree is pretty significant. We're talking about a million over a lifetime... add another million for a Doctoral degree. I'm talking averages... the likelihood of success. Obviously there are anomalies, but I'd say there are much more successful college graduates than successful non-college graduates, or drop outs.

I'll contribute to the thread and say lottery tickets. Millions are still pumped into this monthly and I just don't get it. It's a voluntary tax for the financially irresponsible IMO.

Gaming to an extent as well.

It's impossible to beat high frequency trading machines. They see your order before it can get filled and front run you. 100% legal because most people have no clue it's happening.
Far more money is made off "teaching" people how to invest than is made by actual investing (real estate, stocks, small business)
Literally not one individual in the world has made a significant amount of money trading currencies based on technical patterns. Not a single one lol.
Whole life insurance isn't a good investment. It's just an underhanded way to sell you a garbage mutual fund.
i feel that this guy knows what's up.

if anyone regularly makes good money from the stock market they're either a liar, doing something illegal or incredibly lucky, akin to a lottery winner.
