Hulk Hogan got his ring name based on Lou Ferrigno. They were both on a talk show at the same time, back then Hogan went by the name, "Golden Sterling" in the ring. They both were on the show and the host compared Hogan's physique to Lou and told him, "Hey man, you are bigger than frickin' Incredible Hulk here, I think you are the true Hulk." and Hogan did not want to embarrass or run Lou down at all, he respected him. So Hogan was like, "Nah man, my arms I guess have more bulk on them, but Lou Ferrigno is the only Incredible Hulk." Anyway after the show the promoters decided to change his ringname from Golden Sterling to what is now and will forever be a household name....HULK Hogan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was pretty much all I had. Lou was brought into the WWF for their WBF (World Bodybuilding Federation) that Vince McMahon started. Only thing was immediately after Vince signed all the bodybuilders, Vince was put on trial over the entire "orange juice" scandal, that he knowingly consumed orange juice, and encouraged his wrestlers to do the same. He had all these doctors in his pocket who'd supply it to the WWF and write bogus prescriptions for Orange juice... so Vince reluctantly to save his own can, informed them all that any bodybuilder who tests positive for OJ will be fired. Lou straight up told Vince, "That's bullsh*t". And I think he was gone then. The other pro bodybuilders who remained stayed, did these dance numbers while posing on stage and the entire bodybuilding project by a pro wrestling promoter fizzlied out and was a failure. Same was Vince trying to establish a football league years later lol.
