Inmates will set there cell on fire to to get the guards in but the inmate will stick his head in the toilet and flush it for ventilation of air. I guess covering ur mouth could work in a similar way to block out smoke

This is a modern building we're talking about here! How many have died because a chitty landlord who did a renovation recently to make the building look better with an aluminum cladding with possibly flammable core, and probably made it spread the fire even faster.

Lol yeah, how come buildings dont have big ropes with knots in it you can unravel and put it out the window? Kinda like fire hoses inside a building but it would be just a rope. Fat people would be out of luck tho

The super heated air will generally kill you if the fire has reached the fully developed stage. You can also get caught in a flash over etc

Prior to this you have a small window to escape

This is referred to as "bailing out" and often is your best bet. You can also hang their briefly before rescue. Obviously not ideal and many things can go wrong.

If so,you can bet that residents broke the alarm or sensors so that they can smoke in the halls

Well if its something like your 10 floors up and you have to only make it past one hallway on fire to reach the stairs, i would put the cold shower on and drench a blanket and also a rag to cover mouth/nose.

I would look like poverty ghost but with no eye holes. I would run past the fire and then when its clear take it off.

For situations like that it would be really good
