"Free" country, founded in 1776 but:
- Women couldn't vote until 1921
- Native Americans weren't recognized as citizens until 1924 and some couldn't vote until 1957
- Slavery wasn't abolished until the 1863 Emancipation Proclamation was ratified in 1865 making it one of the last countries to abolish slavery, following that, blacks couldn't vote until 1965.

Beyond that, the US may be currently the wealthies country in the world but it has an average GINI coefficient and as time passes socioeconomic mobility is estimated to become harder.

Regarding freedom, what can you do in the US that you can't do in the rest of the Western hemisphere (barring Venezuela) and in Europe? This concept of the "free country" originated during the foundation of the US when most if not all countries in Europe had either an absolute monarchy or a constitutional monarchy that leaned more towards monarchism than republicanism.

You can probably get a way with more in almost all the European capitals than what you can in most if not all US cities.

Get off of your high horses. I go up to NH in the summer once a year and partake in all sorts of freedom.

Every year I go up for a week and there are hundreds of people in tents and campers drinking in the woods. Its one big party that lasts for days.
