Morning brahs, in on3st. 4rd.

Bulk ammo arrives today. Buffalo Bore arrived yesterday, looks like they changed their packaging for the better. Used to be a giant box with rounds in a thick 1 size fits all styrofoam board.

Kinda thought that Buffalo Bore would have higher numbers. The 230g +P HST I ordered last week from Bone Frog is 461 ft lbs @950 fps. I know 255g is a good bit heavier but Buffalo Bore usually goes all out.

I tend to close one eye when it comes to rifle. I will either stop or continue to just close my right eye rather than my left which is what I've done in the past.

On a side note.

I think I narrowed down the brands of ARs to PSA, Anderson Manufacturing and Ruger. Not wanting to spend a ton because I want a red dot sight.
going to see how I do in about an hour. don't forget ammo when it comes to budget

does it feel natural for her now??

She says it feels natural.

Also, learn to shoot both eyes open now while you're a new shooter.

You'll need both eyes in a defense situation. Same for an AR with a red dot or irons.

Only time I close an eye is when I'm using a scope for a slow-fire string with the bolt action. Even then, I should probably be shooting with both eyes open.

And just add Aero BCG & CH.

Right around your budget and ****s all over Anderson and Ruger.
Would have to agree here. Top-notch budget rifle. I actually like Aero's Quantum handguard if you can get past the non-continuous top picatinny rail. Aero's handguards tend to be large (they are coming out with a slim profile handguard soon). Without the top picatinny rail, I can wrap my hand around it more comfortably.

16" Mid-Length Gas, 12" M-Lok Quantum = $375
Aero Lower = $205
https://aeroprecisionusa.com/m4e1-16...ete-upper.html

$580 (sans shipping and ffl fee).
Buy a BCG and charging handle and BAM! I've never had a problem with a less expensive BCG from AIM or FailZero. I'm a fan of Strike Industries Charging handles, but have used cheap $20 ones without a hitch.

Also, pretty sure there are going to be a slew of 4th of July sales soon.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

460 ft-lbs @ 950 fps is what their 230g is advertised (claims 970 fps out of a 5 in),https://www.midwayusa.com/product/38...oint-box-of-20

Between Federal and BB that's probably as stout a commerical .45 can get at that bullet weight.

Agreed and that's what I have on virtually every one of my AR's. I dunno, looking for something different, maybe made out of metal.

Maybe DD or KAC.

Are the savings around the 4th worth the wait? I've used the flip up sights on an AR and would probably prefer a RDS but I guess that depends on how I spend on everything else.

I picked these up:

They work really well. Paired easily, good sound, and they come with an over the ear clip so they stay on even while running

Darwin party . . . your table is ready.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/06/28...iend-dead.html

In what family members describe as a YouTube stunt gone wrong, a 22-year-old man from Halstad, Minnesota is dead and his pregnant girlfriend is in jail.

Around 6:30 p.m. Monday night, Norman County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 500 block of U.S. Highway 75 on a report of a shooting. Live-saving efforts were made and a medical helicopter was called, but 22-year-old Pedro Ruiz was pronounced dead at the scene. Ruiz’s girlfriend, 19-year-old Monalisa Perez, was booked into jail for reckless discharge of a firearm.

Ruiz’s aunt told Valley News Live that the couple had been trying to get famous on YouTube, and their pranks were escalating.

Pedro Ruiz apparently gave Perez a 50 caliber handgun and instructed her to shoot a round into a book he was holding, thinking it would stop the bullet. The couple had apparently tested the stunt before attempting it on video.

As for metal BUIS, Aero's seem nice. Never played with them, but the set can be had for $100, free ship.
