Good for you OP.

Making the transition to this way of life now. The highrise condo, endless $$ on frivolities and dates, mind games and tricks, etc has lost its appeal. Thinking of getting a nice place out in the mountains, maybe near my parents (haven't lived within 1000 miles since I was 18...or taken a dime from them).

Zero dates in 3 months and never been happier. Then again, this could easily be construed as cope. Nothing wrong with a reset though.

"quitting women" might be a bit extreme. Women are awesome...pursuing them is not.

Good for you bro. In be next couple of months I need to get the balls to dump my live in gf and go back to my dads for about a year. I just want some peace and quiet for a few months. But she ain't going to leave on her own and since she is so terrible with money I don't have the money to get my own place if I leave. So I need to spend a couple months getting rid of my debt and then a few months saving some money.

Really don't want to go back to my dads at 34 for about a year, but living with the wrong woman has messed up my finances and I could use the peace and quiet for awhile.

“We had to move in 2010 due to a job loss and sell the house we left behind in our home city. We made enough on the sale for a small down payment whenever we decided to buy again. I found a job back home in Lethbridge last month and decided to move back. My wife told me that she never wants to move again and if I want to stay married we better buy a house (isn’t love grand?) I am in my mid 40’s and just got my mortgage approval on Wednesday from the bank. – the day before F dropped the latest housing bomb. I will put 5% down with a 30 year amortization. So we are looking at me carrying a mortgage well into my 60’s.

... FIVE YEARS LATER...

I thought you may be interested to know how things turned out. We bought a house large enough for 2 adults and 4 kids to live comfortably. The plan was to buy one close to the university here in Lethbridge so the oldest had an easy commute in a year when she finished high school. It was a larger “dated” home in a mature community. So, somewhat affordable.

Life was good for a year then things started to go sideways. The oldest daughter found it more appealing after finishing high school to rent a crappy little basement suite with her boyfriend than live rent free and follow the house rules.

To make a long story short. The bond my wife and I had was not strong enough to endure everything that life can throw at you. She moved out in October 2014 and I stayed in the house until it sold.
It sold in April of 2015 for exactly what we paid for it. After putting in about $10,000 in renovations (new carpets and new bathroom), and realtor fees, we got a cheque for 7,000. Since October of 2014 I have accumulated about 40,000 in debt. I remember you saying that divorces are expensive.”

You don't think your mother values you starting a family more than she values you having money to sit in her house and play videogames and wank yourself into a coma every night crying?

What she wants for you to see you as sucessful is probably a lot more than a piece of paper that says you're smart or a job that says your useful

I gave up on them long ago.

I like my life, why the hell would i want to invite a lunatic into it to ruin it?

Lol,

1) I have no desire to marry someone or settle down, why do you assume everyone in the world needs to do that?
2) I dont wank off and dont cry, I clearly stated I am the happiest I have been I go to sleep smiling everynight stress free
3) I do want to end up living alone playing whatever I wan tto play, hanging out with friends, travelling when I want where I want living off retirement and enjoying all my free time doing what I want.

why do you assume a person needs a female to do that?

Jesus fycking christ do you have have no reading comprehension? I have stated multiple times in this thread I have had quite a few amazing girlfriends and long term relationships. I CHOSE this it is not me being a FA who cant get a GF and it makes me sad. I have been there, done that, didnt like it, wasnt for me, and I have no trouble getting it again if I want to but I dont.

kind of the same way but my situation is different than op's. but have basically given up on women i don't want to have kids and i've dissected my sex drive, i just see it as nature's way of telling me to reproduce. it's like a frog it dies if you dissect it. i enjoy spending time with my parents who i live with and have no desire to bring a kid into this world with everything going on so i'm more than content to just be by myself. everything op said about females is correct and it's only worth it if you want kids and have them with a woman. otherwise you are just letting your hormones get the best of you.

Can confirm. You're better off not getting into a LTR until you have your chit together. That's the one thing I love about mature women in their 30s because they expect the guy theyre gonna date to have his chit together

This is the GOAT lifestyle. The only time a relationship is good is during the honeymoon phase. Once that ends the girl typically turns into a nagging housewife. Even during the honeymoon phase. The amount of dates you have to go on is so expensive and stupid its not even worth it.

The worst part being a relationship is the damage it does to your car. BRB DRIVING HER EVERYWHERE, SHE NEVER EVER EVER EVER WILL DRIVE. SO ENJOY DRIVING 100 PERCENT OF THE TIME ON ALL THE DATES. WEEKEND TRIPS. 30 MIN DRIVES TO THE CITY ETC. ETC. ETC. SO MUCH WEAR AND TEAR.

I was pretty stress free before the past few years when I started to try to date for the first time..

now all I think about is : "Am I not good looking enough?, am I tall enough?, do women care if I shave my head?, will my dink be big enough?, am I cool enough?, do I make enough money?

it doesnt matter how well you hit it off with a girl on the first date because theyre always chasing something better or that new partner feeling..especially with dating apps being mainstream now

I dont want to play that game...

been out of the gym for the past few months because I was burnt out but I am getting back into it this week.. starting kickboxing again as well and am going to just focus on my dreams

Op is living the dream *******s.
Self improvement is one of the best things in the world.
He can travel the world , bang couple of hot chicks and make good money eat good food, play games and maybe Fap when he wants to feed his ego he does not need any serious relationcuckships.

Let Op enjoy himself he knows he can not be happy his entire life. And sooner or later he has to settle down for missionary style sex with a nagging Gf who will think of chad and maybe take all his belongings.

Sex is over rated anyways once your tired of banging all kinds of women.

Op is making it he does not need to live the life that the majority of miscers will live for the rest of there FA lives let him enjoy himself until it is his time.

Have a gf now and sometimes I miss those freedoms. I think I've been the happiest when I have 2 fwbs and still go out frequently to try to hook up with other girls bc it was never a big deal if tinder or going out didn't pan out that night. I also just enjoyed going out a lot anyways. I really do like my gf though and don't wanna live with the possible regret though if I did break up with her bc I could see myself marrying her after a couple more years

Agree with OP. Just got done cutting off a girl recently and although the personality didn't match I'm confident I would have ended it eventually regardless of how amazing she was.

It gets kind of annoying constantly having to entertain a girl. They always want to be doing something . Like above poster said you have to drive most of the time which wears your car out. Have to pay most of the time or you'll be viewed as a loser. Even when you get a day off from them they will constantly text you. I could go on. But I pursued a girl because I thought it's what I wanted. When I got it I realized I don't want it at the moment.

Now in middle eastern culture our parents usually hook us up with a girl from some family they know from back home or places like church. Middle eastern woman are very submissive and don't behave like these millenials . That is the only scenario id accept.

Basically this. You just attract low quality women.

Even if you don't want the hassle/stress of being in a LTR (even this is mostly avoided if you're with a high quality woman), why wouldn't you still hook up with and casually date women? It sounds like your bitterness towards women is due to your own insecurities. Maybe you should try men, OP.

Personal choice. No different from drinking. Drinking is deemed to be fun by some. Same thing with the hook up culture. I don't have a desire to spend money and time on what could be a hook up. Might as well invest it in something that is guaranteed to make me happy. Doesn't mean we are ghey either.
I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time; never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people. Thank you.

Sounds pretty ghey to me. Getting pussy as a single man takes very little time and money if you're doing it right. You probably just can't pull for sh*t.

Standards and quality of women is most likely a lot higher than yours. Why would I give a chit what you think either?

I just date and smash. If I want a dime I can pay or travel to other countries, much less frustrating and cheaper than chasing. Just met too many chit women and had too many relationships turn into a boring nag fest. Other relationships, the women were always talking about Chad or still secretly looking for a Chad/reliving their "glory" days. Throw in some mental illness, feminism, fat chicks and gold diggers and it's pointless.

Now I've got bank, work when I want, travel internationally 1-3x a year, everything paid off, top health etc. etc.

Good for you op. Don't take the negative internet comments to heart, most of them would do the same were they in a position to even have a choice.

i am in a very similar position, minus the career on track part. i recently lost my job of 6 years and have decided that i am going back to school. i also broke up with my girlfriend last september, and not for any particular reason - just because i was checked out with the relationship and all of the maintenance that came with it. i find that even covering the basics - something that is expected in every relationship, tends to be a little bit soul-draining. all of the girlfriends i've had in the past have been what people would consider normal caring females. perhaps it's because i haven't met a girl who is right for me. but at this point in my life i'm thinking there is something fundamentally wrong on my part. i can put up with it for about 7-8 months and then i just completely check out and the relationship comes to an end. what i find most fukt up is that i'm pretty sure this personality trait that i have is the reason they fall in love with me.

anyway op, there are increasingly a lot of men who are in the same shoes as you and have decided that women just aren't really worth all of the downside that comes with the commitment. it can't be a good thing for the future of society, but screw it. life in itself is pretty superfluous and happiness reigns supreme, so do exactly what makes you happy. just make sure you're actually happy.
