The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Good to see so many other people got fuked up so bad over "It" as well lol
Alien is the first movie I recall ever terrifying me and I still love it and Aliens today!
So many other good ones in here as well. The movie Leviathan (1989) messed me up for a couple weeks worth of nightmares.

Final Destination. ****ed me up real bad as a kid, as I went to religious private school at the time, and for years I was insanely paranoid over dying.
Still lol, wanted to watch the second one in theaters. My dad and my sister went to watch Kangaroo Jack. Me, my brother, and my mom went to watch Final Destination 2. It was like right after the log scene my brother had to leave and snuck in to watch Kangaroo Jack. I stayed and watched the whole thing because I'm a ****ing idiot, lol.
Darkness Falls also gets an honorable mention. I would always imagine that shot of the kid in the bathtub as the camera pans back revealing the monster at the edge of the door frame clawing to get in.

6th Sense ****ed me up. Remember watching it right before bed.
Close seconds would be Jeepers Creepers and The Shining.

The original Carrie, too many scenes to mention.
And the fifth rule and most important, work your but off.

Even the Exorcist, as much as I was too young to be seeing such a movie, was not "real" as Jaws was. A lame movie that scarred me as kid was Omega Man. Is a B LOL movie to see now, but it freaked me out for some reason. My mother would give me a few $ on a Saturday to get rid of me for a few hours to see a movie at the local theater and didn't care/ask what we were actually seeing. The Exorcist.

Three things....
1) When I was a kid the My Buddy and Kid Sister dolls were a thing.

I was like 7 and my grandmother got my sister and I My Buddy and Kid Sister dolls. The movie Child's Play came out about a year later. I didn't see the movie, but when the trailer came out and I saw that, I took both dolls and slam dunked those little bastards in the dumpster.
2) I'm black and went to an all black school. We watched Roots in the 3rd grade. So fugged up.
3) In 7th grade my history teacher showed us Full Metal Jacket when we talked about Vietnam. Strong WTF

Man pre 05 was an entirely different violent time.
Scary things - Tales from the crypt, specifically that episode where the guy's face breaks off and a beak comes out as his neck dislocates. Not sure what episode that was but that was a serious WTF.
A night of the living dead type 90's movie where the people run around the city and end up having to leave a guy to fight zombies at a metal gate who dies of course. The guy who dies at the gate looked like Leon from Resident Evil 2 dead srs.
Jaws. I was afraid of sharks after that. Ended up becoming afraid of jellyfish since I got stung by one while being jaws conscious at the beach.
Around the early 2000's it was the execution videos specifically Daniel Pearl. The full vid was floating freely back then so not like it was hard to find.
Cool thing - 90's softcore pron. First time I saw one I thought it was a drama series. They did have artsy poses when they had their scenes.
