The Army was my only way out of that vicious cycle. I had no discipline and knew I needed to be forced to quit. My friends were wondering where the hell I went, and how the hell did I go to college while they were still in high school, because I was failing so badly.

World of Warcraft

Game took over my life for 3 years or so. If it hadn't have turned to chit I'd still be addicted now.

Age of Empires II: Age of Kings. It was the first video game I ever owned and I still play it reasonably often. It's timeless really.

Def was a fan of Rome: Total War
Played Age of Empires a lot too
More recently hooked on the Assassins Creed series. I bought the first one when I bought PS3, but didn't get really into it until I bought AC3. Then went back and played the 1, 2, Brotherhood and revelations. Been playing each new release since.
