Glad I don't work with firefighters like that. If a watermelon offends you then you shouldn't be in this line of work. Constant pranks and offensive jokes are the norm.

In this situation the firefighter didn't even mean it as a joke, just as a gift. No wonder DFD is a joke of a department.

Im not talking politics. Im talking respect and courtesy. He is not a stand up comedian and he's not their friend. He's a stranger. If you go to Japan and stick your chopsticks straight into a bowl of rice vertically, its considered an insult. I've traveled many places and adhered to many different customs. You can say they should grow thick skin but not everyone has thick skin, does that make it ok to fukk with people? If someone can't take a joke I dont complain and whine about how soft they are. I move on.

That's a deviation from my post but on topic of your reply, I think we should call people out for being whiny bitches and end this sudden culture of pussy hurt feelings and complete lack of testosterone. It's absolutely embarrassing to be so sensitive, and I write of anyone who is offended that easily as being fragile and weak.

Time for men to be men again, to be able to bust balls again without acting like a bunch of pussified women. I cringe at my own generation on the young end, they are the weakest generation of males that's ever been born on this soil. It's humiliating.
