Anyway, what you guys are ignoring is the sheer size of the universe. Yes, there is almost certainly life out there, but it is still subject to the laws of relativity, being in the same universe. Also, life, being an information phenomenon, requires some degree of stability in the environment for the storage and replication of information. The vast majority of worlds are not hospital to any type of chemical based lifeform even in a theoretically abstract definition of life (not the cellular kind we use). Relativity prevents stuff really far away from us from ever really reaching us in any reasonable time, and the way the dimensions of space are, the probabilities become vanishingly low of an encounter the further away we are. Sure, life on mars could be plausible in principle, but the idea that they could have "spaceships that can travel across the universe" is ridiculous and contradicts everything we know and have experimentally observed about the behavior of the universe.

Many ufology nuts are woefully uneducated on matters of physics. How would one resolve interactions with alien worlds and FTL travel with something like the Andromeda paradox, for example?
Not ignoring the size of the universe, but I find it amusing that people use our technological level to apply it to alien species. We have *zero* clue on what their capabilities might be. Just imagine if there was another petri-dish of humans on another planet that was only 1000 years ahead of us in regards to tech. Their technology would look like magic to us. And 1000 years is nothing. It's a lot more likely if we ever met another alien species that we would be separated by hundreds of thousands or millions of years of progress. We're pretty ignorant and simply guessing at all of us, so it's silly to claim its not possible in any way. You sound like the same people who said the speed of sound would never be broken, that we would never fly, that we would never see beyond the solar system, etc etc. We don't know what the end-limit of our tech will be.

That's not how probabilities work.

If life is a truly random process, then this may be true.

However, we don't know that to be the case. In fact, we have no scientific proof whatsoever that you can just stir a bunch of molecules together in a jar, set it aside for oh... about 2 billion years, and voila! life will just spring into existence from nothingness. That may be true. That may not be true. We have no experimental results to support it.

It's just as likely that we are entirely alone in the universe (if life is not random), as that the universe is teeming with other life (if life is random).

Even if the universe is teeming with life, it's unlikely that we'll ever know. We are limited in our ability to travel and explore outside of our own galaxy and we'd have to be in the vicinity of an advanced life form at the same time that both such civilizations were interested in and capable of attempting to find other extraterrestrial life forms. The age of the universe (~14 billion years) and the exceedingly short window of time mankind has had the technological means to explore space (a few hundred years, if going by the invention of telescope... barely more than a hundred years, if going by the invention of a means of detecting radio waves) means that we might have missed each other by millions or billions of years.

It's interesting to think about these subjects, but don't fall into the trap of thinking that just because there are lots of movies/TV shows/books about this subject, that those aren't more science fantasy than science fact.

In all likelihood, we are (for all intents and purposes) alone and always will be. The age of the universe and vast distances between stars and between galaxies means that we may very well be trapped in a teeny tiny little portion of time/space which never overlaps with any other advanced extraterrestrial life.

Even more mind blowing is what if we truly are alone? All of the unobservable universe that we can never see, know, or experience... just exists for the sake of existence.

That's the thing. We do have a clue about what their technology can be! We know because of certain basic assumptions about the universe that underpin all of our theories of physics which have been corroborated by experiment. If we are wrong about these basic assumptions, such as Lorentz invariance, we would be like waaaaaaaaaay off on almost all of our theories of physics. We would need a whole lot of new theories to explain what has already been observed, and they would seem highly contrived or downright contradictory. Faster than light travel can easily lead the way to information paradoxes, the creation of energy, time travel, and other such bizarre and nonphysical consequences (at least consequences that we have yet to ever observe). I can see how saying the speed of light is a limit that will never be broken sounds a lot like the speed of sound to someone. (Traveling faster than the speed of sound was always an engineering/practical impossibility and not a theoretical one.) However, it isn't. The speed of light in a vacuum is essentially the propagation time of information within the vacuum for the universe. You cannot transport information faster than the speed of information propagation.

Read this declassified document published by the CIA then come back and tell me he is lying srs.

https://www.cia.gov/library/readingr...00760001-9.pdf

Truth is stranger than fiction boyos.

Just to elaborate more... the CIA has been working with 'remote viewers' for a long time now and there are even documents in that archive that state remote viewing has been proven without a doubt to be a real phenomenon and can be demonstrated through repeatable methods, SRS boyos... stay safe because the alien invasion is coming ayy lmao.

EDIT: Beware! Once you go down the rabbit hole there is no going back. But if you are interested in more search 'STARGATE' in the archives, that is the project name.

Again with these assumptions. I already told you all this math and science that you base you comments on are using the "number system" invented by people several 1000 years ago. We can't really understand the universe, specially compared to the martians, using this outdated system.

Not to mention some of these numbers were made by Egyptians, who probably had ties with the martians. The whole "number system" could be based on an ancient sabotage.

brb 2 + 2 = 4... what if 2 + 2 = 5? You would be none the wiser since you never questioned the basics of mathematics.

Lmao ok. Assume 2+2=5. Then 1=0. Therefore, I am Chad.

Oh, did you mean a different kind of 2? I know what 2 is based on the Von Neumann construction of the natural numbers using set theory. I also know what 2 is from everyday experiences. If you do not know what 2 is, then look up our constructions of natural numbers using set theory, and use that. Any sensible idea that is consistent with what we intend to mean by the number "2" will never allow 2+2 to equal 5. If you don't believe in the axioms of ZFC set theory, make your own and see what math you come up with. It probably won't be very useful, and if you ever tried to come up with something different that was still rich enough to do geometry, calculus, etc, it would probably end up looking a whole lot like category theory, topoi theory, or zfc set theory. There is a reason we all use those basic assumptions bro. They are pretty good.

The important distinction here is semiconductors do not contradict quantum mechanics. They, in fact, are explained by quantum mechanics. Newtonian physics was objectively wrong, and experiments demonstrated this. There is yet to be an experiment demonstrating a failure of relativity at macroscopic scales. We do, objectively, lack a theory of quantum gravity, but any inaccuracies here will not result in such a glaring change as to allow faster than light travel. What is worse are the mathematical consequences of FTL travel. They create bizarre situations where, like I said, many of the basic conservation laws that build all of the physics that we know would be violated. All I can say is...we do, and you need to read more physics to see why we do. Otherwise, you'll just have to take people who have studied the issue's word on it. I know that is unsettling, but that's the reality of the situation. You are not going to see some dude build a warp drive in his garage, as romantic an idea as that may seem. Those days are over. Physics has matured quite a bit.

I used to be right there with you guys. In fact, part of the reason I even got into studying physics and math was because I was obsessed with learning about quantum theory, FTL, and all the other cool chit that I heard about on Star Trek. Unfortunately, I learned that reality is far more pessimistic and bleak than those shows suggest.

To some extent yes but it is natural phenomena that we just do not understand yet. Project stargate is research into the phenomena and there are hundreds of documents in that archive that are mind blowing son.

They are in the archives, I went through hundreds of the documents related to remote viewing when I found out about it. Am I going to go through all those documents again just to prove something to you? **** no boyo aint nobody got time for that. If you're interesting in finding out go seek out those documents for yourself because they do exist and are on there. I've told you the project name so go ahead boyo.

There has never been any scientific evidence. They may have had a few lucky guesses, and a few cases of coaching, but there is no reproducible experiment demonstrating remote viewers as being accurate. Imagine if they did have this power. Why wouldn't they become the wealthiest people in the world? Where are these remote viewers for predicting the actions of enemies in war or corporate rivals or opponents in sports/games? Where are they for determining the identities of criminals? Why aren't they running our society?

If you do not know what 2 is, then look up our constructions of natural numbers using set theory, and use that. Any sensible idea that is consistent with what we intend to mean by the number "2" will never allow 2+2 to equal 5. If you don't believe in the axioms of ZFC set theory, make your own and see what math you come up with. It probably won't be very useful, and if you ever tried to come up with something different that was still rich enough to do geometry, calculus, etc, it would probably end up looking a whole lot like category theory, topoi theory, or zfc set theory. Wow okay... so I question your assumptions and you get all butthurt and start throwing big words like "theory" around to obscure the issue at that? I suggest you open your mind to learning instead of attacking anyone who has a different take than you on what these bullchit made up numbers really mean.

I'm willing to work with others, including *******s like you, for the good of mankind so we can advance together. Why are you so against collaborating with others?

Such skepticism...especially when having a quote out of the Bible in your sig. Lets put it this way...i think the CIA remote viewing information is a little bit more believable than Adam and Eve talkin to a snake

There is scientific evidence and I have told you exactly where it exists. I will not produce it for you because I am not going to spend hours shifting through documents I have already read to win an internet debate with you.

To answer your questions:

1. It is not a super power. It is a natural phenomenon that everyone is capable of and one can be trained to do so.
2. Because it doesn't work that way and if you read the document I linked above explaining what it is and how it works you would understand why.
3. There are literally documents in the archives that show they WERE using remote viewers to find criminals in hiding and it was SUCCESSFUL.
4. Because again they are not super heros with super powers... they are people who have been trained to do so.

All the answers to your questions are in the archives, if you want to find out go and learn about it. You are clearly not interested in that though, you just want to be a smarty pants.
