I have no idea why they chose this actress but she is downright terrible. I cringe at every scene she's in.

Show was ok but nothing special. Better than Luke Cage and Iron Fist (Iron Fist was chit). Berenthal was great as usual.

Still, they spend far too much on the brooding and flashbacks. Yeah, he thinks about his dead wife a lot. We get it. We don't need 10 flashbacks every goddamn episode.

The show took itself way too seriously. Punisher is definitely a dark character, but the best Punisher comics have often been darkly comedic rather than just serious (unlike Batman). There's also that one time he had a life and death fight with an Amish hitman who ran him over with a horse and buggy.

There's a lot to absorb in these characters. You have to "slow" down and savor the nuances like a fine cuisine. Otherwise, all you will remember is the gunfire and violence.

After he got beaten up? That was messed up af lmao. Beaten with his own leg too haha. Other than that his character looked pretty good no homo.

Overall show was fantastic. 9/10. Only cons were the constant flashbacks to his dead wife. There were way too many. Also found the awkward love triangle between him and micro's wife was unnecessary and just shoved in there for the sake of it. Micro's reaction to that was not realistic in the slightest. But then again, beta cuck's gonna beta cuck.
Really liked the villains as well. Believable and not as forgettable as all the other marvel villains.

Apparently the punisher appears in daredevil... started that but 6 eps in i'm bored af. Does it get any better?

Yeah brah, when Frank came in and they showed his face I was like wtf?! Dude was wrecckkeeedd. I think they did a great job though showing how good he would be if he didn't have only 1 leg. Felt bad when he was crying saying he ain't chit now and he got beat by some kid he would have rektd in 10 seconds before.

I dunno, I haven't really found the flashbacks excessive. It's to drive home the point of his trauma/remorse etc. Well the thing is....how did you expect Micro to react? He knows he cannot do ANYTHING to Castle physically....so what else can he do?

Punisher only shows up in season 2 of DD btw. DD is a good show too, takes a little while to get going but season 2 is worth it imo.

The guy's banned, but I'll reply anyways.

Agreed that the whole love triangle was cringey, but given the situation, not much that Micro could do. The wife thinks he's dead so he can't blame her. The Punisher is a dick for flirting with his wife and bringing her flowers, but:

A) The Punisher is still protecting the guy's family and making it possible for him to see his family again
B) He still pulled away from the kiss eventually
C) Micro would get his ass beat if he tried anything
