Would be surprised if it doesn't ruin him. Never heard of a lottery winner that kept his money and generated more dividends. They usually end up broke or dead.

I buy one $3 mega millions with megaplier for every drawing with the goal of someday winning the 2nd tier prize of 2-5 million, after taxes would probably be about half of that. That amount alone would be lifechanging, retire instantly money. I can't imagine what winning the jackpot would be like.

Definitely would put the ticket in plastic baggies and immediately go get a bank deposit box to put it in, and find a big firm partner attorney to get you set up with trusts, if possible in your state do everything you can to be anonymous.

I hope this kid does well for himself. He said he met with financial advisors...on the other hand though, this winning number was one of 5 on the ticket he bought, which apparently was bought with money he won from another scratch off ticket. Goes on and on about the power of "positive thinking" lmao, and to top it all off he is only 20 years old. Sounds like a typical lottery winner who will end up broke.

"Power of positivity" what would you rather people do you miserable kent? Be fooked and negative all day long? Positivity is very powerful and it's a lot better than some dreadful existence you want with your negativity.

As for me I'd just hire an attorney, blind trust 50% to me, set up trust funds for my future kids, grandkids etc. once they hit milestones of 18 and 30 ($500k@ 18 and $2-5m @30) for the next 5 generations. Drop 10% into crypto and setup a foundation to give back, but it wouldn't be associated with the lottery winner because I was anonymous.

The most difficult thing is when people hit that level of wealth they start thinking they are better than other people for XYZ reasons. You got lucky, acknowledge that, be humble, and have a blissful existence.

Part of what made him broke was the people he constantly paid. Same thing with Antoine Walker, dude went broke due to buying several family members cars, houses etc. Imagine dishing out 10s of thousands each week/month to several parties. Easy to see wht one would go broke along with the dozens of cars/*jewels you spent on.

To be blunt, if you take care of your immediate family and friends and ignore the distant relatives then it would help significantly, especially since it be easier to avoid such folk when you aren't famous and on t.v. every day like Tyson and Antoine were.

You could find someone, but it would be very difficult. You'd have to move to Alaska or some chit and live a normal life for 5+ years, not spending huge amounts, enroll in college, go to bars, meet girls the same way people without millions in the bank would do.

That positive thinking stuff reminds me of that one lottery winner that won a huge jackpot and she attributed to positive thinking and the "law of attraction" bs. And she ended up going bankrupt.

If I won, I would have stayed anonymous if I could, and I would have gave away 10% of my after taxes winnings to my closest friends and family, and tell everyone else to **** off. I'd build a team of financial advisors, accountants, attorneys, etc. I would have took a personal finance class and studied investing as much as I could. I would have invested most of it in different things such as residential and commercial real estate, index funds, maybe hedge funds, treasury bonds, my own hand picked stocks, start up companies, etc. I'd look into starting businesses that I would enjoy running such as a night club. I would want to grow my wealth into billions of dollars and eventually buy a professional sports team franchise with it. I'd also want to grow it for the purpose of passing it down if I ever got married and had kids.
