Thread has me watching Slayer vids from the new tour, they are coming about 3 hours from here in St Louis in August, think I'm gonna try to make it. If it's really my last chance, I'll be kicking myself if I don't. They are one of the big 4, hate to see them go. There will be a time when Megadeth and Metallica hang it up as well, sucks getting old. Seeing LOG will be a bonus, they are good too.

And yes go to the tour!! It was amazing! I showed late and ended up missing Testament (why were they on first??) and Behemoth, but the whole show was amazing. Can't speak for your area but we had clear skies and warm weather, and everybody I met there was a total sweetheart. It's Slayers farewell tour. Dooo ittttt.

Fukken insane. I sweat alot as it is, but in that sea of humanity let me tell you. Plus we got some rain so that helped, I was already wet from sweat so this gave me an excuse to be wet. The parking was sorry as sh*t but the show was unreal.
Testament went on and they played some of the classics I grew up loving.
Behemoth was cool as I dig the more black more aggressive noise.
Lamb of God whom I also am not the biggest fan of just killed it live.
Everything sounded so excellent then when Anthrax hit the stage with Joe Jackson's cover of "Got the Time" followed by other old school classics I was having the time of my life in there! "Caught In A Mosh", Anti-Social, and Belladonna and the original guys, I'd have probably paid to see them alone.
SLAYER! FUKKEN SLAYER! I couldn't have asked for a better mix of old school or a better performance because they just were insane. Raining Blood, Angel of Death, Seasons in the Abyss and South of Heaven it was a hardcore memorable experience .
Them on stage before they punch their ticket was the most beautiful thing these eyes have ever seen, next to my kid. I think Tom is leaving on his terms, not going to make any comebacks. When he says Slayer is done, Slayer is done. No bands that cannot stay retired. What a show! What a career! What a ride it's been! Just tickled I could make it to the grand finale!!!

Headed to Imagine Dragons tomorrow. I've already seen a bunch of country shows over the last year and still have Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker, Miranda Lambert, and Little Big Town lined up. Also going to see Hootie and the Blowfish, Billy Joel, and Elton John. Love going to concerts.
Foo Fighers this week is a possibility as well.

Eagles! WTC! Rob Zombie!
I took my little sister to her first concert in 97-98 Marilyn Manson. She still sees him every chance she gets. I liked Manson way back when Marilyn Manson was a THEM, and not a HIM... lol
Had no idea many of the bands ITT were reunited or still together. Makes me feel the need to look them up and try to go.

Imagine Dragons were fantastic. Tons of energy, musicianship, and showmanship on a 100 degree day while playing for an hour and a half. Haven't gotten Foo Fighters tix yet, they're still > $200 for pavilion seats and I have to buy 4. Hopefully I'll be able to get a Friday 5pm deal since I'm only 1/2 hour from the venue.

Saw FFDP and Breaking Ben with my son last month. Great concert! Was hot as hell but had a great time. Didn't do the 2 hour trek to Shinedown/Godsmack. Feelsbad. Bet it was a great show.

Just got tix to Disturbed and Three Days Grace. Will be a Christmas present for my son. I like doing some experience stuff for his gifts rather than just things. I'm really excited, have never seen Disturbed and haven't seen 3DG in years. Anyone been to any good concerts this fall or have any lined up?
