Yeah, I'm thinking about it. Just didn't really cross my mind until now when premium went through the roof adding my son. Need to check out the Blue Book and all and decide. It's a Subaru Outback and only has 100K miles. Subarus hold value pretty well and it should last to at least 200K miles, so it's not like it's only worth a grand.

Well, my car is kinda a turd mobile. It's a 2004, so I'm thinking I'm going to drop the full coverage.

Which is why the insurance for that group is so high. If you're lucky, it will just be vehicle/property damage.

If I recall 25 is the cut-off age where the rates return to normal. Maybe even sooner if you get married.

kelly blue book is 4-5k so probably best to consider liability and have a little money set aside for another used car in case of an accident where you're at fault

That's about what I was thinking it was worth. Yeah, pretty sure I'm going to do that. I'm going to shop around online to see about rates elsewhere as well. I have 6 months before he can drive by himself, so I'm thinking I'm going to be saving as much as I can to put towards a newer used Subaru for me and give him this one.
