Shiseido is doing phase iii this year on stem cell technology and hoping to have the first product on the market by late 2018. They are sharing their clinical findings with Replical in Canada.

Basically makes existing hair follicles on head resistant to DHT by swapping part of the follical cells with stem cells from back of head. Incredibly optimistic I know, but here is hoping.
