I'm being 100 serious for once, my grandfather told me this before he died and this is how I will try to live my life. The woman in the article sounds like she is focused on trying to reclaim Phase 1.

Too many women nowadays try to desperately hang on to the youth phase. Dying hair, spending $$$ on all sorts of anti-wrinkle and rejuvenation products, considering facelifts or surgery.

It just seems really common nowadays. Back in my parent's generation women got married, had kids and moved graciously out of that phase.

My grandmother warned me about this. She said knowing when to switch over is the key to happiness. You don't have to give up on your appearance entirely but it's silly to base your inner sense of self worth off of that when it's such a fleeting thing--for both genders. It's just as cringey to see old guys with toupes, in the club, trying to pick up 21 year olds and getting escorted out by security. Of course, society is harder on women when it comes to judging value based on looks--so I get that it's tough. But it can't become all consuming.

Nothing is cringier than a mid life person who can't accept it.

Lol what clubs are you going to? I'm not saying that creepy older guys looking at younger girls isn't a thing but I've never seen anything likethatbefore.

Older women going to insane lengths to retain their looks on the other hand seems to be the norm these days.

I have only seen it happen once, lol but you know what I'm getting at. Guys who don't realize they are out of place and making everyone uncomfortable.

My general point is people need to accept the transitions in life with grace.

Cherry picking/10. I clearly said that was just one example of a general theme of old guys making fools out of themselves trying to act/appear young. Seems like maybe I hit a nerve.

Her about Michael Douglas:

โ€˜We were in a hotel in Valencia having dinner when she arrived. That gave her a chance to say in front of me...โ€˜โ€œYou know weโ€™re still married and I have no intention of ending it.โ€ I thought, โ€œThatโ€™s that.โ€ The last thing Iโ€™d do to another woman is interfere in that. I felt sick.

'It was thrilling to be falling in love, then I felt Iโ€™d been kicked in the stomach.โ€™

โ€˜But, in truth, he was a misogynist. We had lunch not long ago and he may be different now, but I donโ€™t think he wouldโ€™ve liked me finding my power as his wife so, you know, itโ€™s probably a good thing.โ€™

She and Michael - now 73 and married to Catherine Zeta-Jones - remained friends, but fell out over the sequel, The Jewel Of The Nile.

Brahs dont judge a person until you walked a mile in their shoes.

You guys underestimate how jealous girls get and how competitive they really are.

There was a legit 10/10 girl working in my corporate office and she didnt make any friends at work despite having a great personality and she was fukkin amazing looking. She used to eat her lunch by herself and i was one of the few people that would talk to her but i am the type of person that gets friendly with everyone.

I have dated hot girls who had boring af personalities (legit have broken up w hot girls because they were boring ) but this girl was fun af to talk to and super down to earth yet she was always alone at work and barely had anyone come to her office.

Good chance her bf was actually a miscer ..i remember i was telling her about having to go to gym and we start talking about the gym and she tells me how i need to join bodybuilding.com forum her boyfriend was on...i told her i would check it out (i actually had like 5k posts on here at the time).

She only stayed there for 6 months but to this day i would insta marry that girl if i had a chance.

I do agree with you guys that many of the super hot girls are spoiled and have no personality ...have met plenty that had a brick personality.

Finally speaking from experience ... i used to get alot more looks from girls when i was 20-25 then i do now when i am 31 so its not like guys looks dont go down either. And lol if you think good looking guys have the same issue that girl is talking about. I was friends with few chads and they did not have to do ANYTHING to get girls...girls would legit do all the work for them.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Maylie again.

Most miscers are delusional. Good looking guys experience the same exact thing women do as well when it comes to attracting women based on looks. Guys looks go down by alot as they age and thats easy to see

Look at Leonardo Dicaprio now and look at his pictures in his prime. Same goes for Brad Pitt and then tell me men looks dont go downhill

Yep. Enjoy all the benefits of the world purely on something you had nothing to do with. Then think it will last forever so you don't do anything else worthwhile in your life. Then it all comes crashing down even before you are 30. So you have 2 options: Land an office working dadbod husband or become a feminists moaning about how looks shouldn't matter.

That's why if you're born good looking, you still work hard because youth is fleeting. I have zero sympathy whatsoever for any person who is feeling "down" because the only worth they have relied on has decayed. Sadly though many get paid off by getting a partner asap, if only people could identity this desperation and say "Nope".

100. Looks aren't as big of a factor for men (for relationships) but for sex? Let's be real, young girls don't give a crap about your 401k. They want Chad. And there are way better looking guys in their 20's than in their 40's. Nobody cares about anything but looks when they are looking for sex.

I have an uncle who is 60 now moaning that he wishes he'd gotten married and had some kids like my dad, instead of thinking that he was gonna be king playa playa. He is bald and pudgy now and the gold diggers have moved on to someone with a bigger wallet and a full head of hair. Time catches up to EVERYONE. Use your youth while you have it to set a foundation for the future.

RIP Leo. He was my 10/10. He is slowly turning into a potatoe. If he weren't rich and famous I doubt he'd be pulling models.

Isn't that what women are supposed to do? Hunt for a partner while they are at peak glow instead of rotating through Chads?

gonna put forth an unpopular opinion: everything she said about females judging her only based on her looks is 100% true

source: I work in an office filled with average women and they pass judgement on every young attractive female they come in contact with.

Really, when you autistically break down what a personality actually is...

It's a way to differentiate yourself from others, in an attempt to either comfort your ego or gain social currency - ie friends. Attractive people really don't need to go out of their way for either - especially attractive women. There is no incentive to work toward developing an appealing personality if you're physically attractive and everyone socially throws themselves at you anyway.

It's why fat chicks have much better personalities on average, and if you're going to meet a funny woman, there's an 87% chance she is fat, or for some reason she has self-esteem issues. When you meet a woman who is a 7+/10 and with a good personality, it's most likely because some saint at some point in her life put her down and wrecked her self esteem.

If you ever have a daughter, the most important thing to do is make sure she thinks she is ugly. She will thank you some day.
