There is no excuse, but chit like this happens. 1-3% of the population is psychopathic...Every time this happens people are like "WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! WE NEED TO DO MORE!" There's not much more to be done, and whatever you want done is going to cost more money in taxes. Phuck that. I'll take my chances. The solution isn't more public health programs that do phuck all. A small percentage of humans want to murder and will do so. There's not much you can do to stop them. Giving law enforcement more money won't help either. Most murders go unsolved, and you can't predict who is going to do something without invasively monitoring every person. I'd rather have some semblance of freedom than resort to that. The price of freedom is that once in a while, chit like this happens.

If you think life isn't 100% genetics, I have some bad news.

Even how you react to situations, etc is genetics. It's literally all genetics bruh. If you are ugly and undesirable, your tour is over. You will be culled from the pool. That's nature. Glad your life is awesome, but don't expect someone whose life isn't awesome to not lash out accordingly. The outcome of everyone's life is based almost entirely on their genetics. Looks are one component of it. Smarts, hard work, talent, etc...can all be boiled down to genetics. So, yes. It is pretty much genetics and the randomness of the situations you were placed in. Neither of those things are in your control. The most depressing thing about life is the realization that you actually control nothing at all. You may think your life is awesome. Wait til you get cancer or a drunk driver hits you and cripples you, or your kid is born retarded, or some other chit. Life has no mercy. Don't think for a second you are safe. The god you pray to will be the first one to destroy everything you love.

Whenever I see tragedies like this, it's just a reminder of the painful reality of this world -- a reality that "a conversation" or "mental health" or a "positive mental attitude" will not change. You may think you are immune to this reality. Wait until you grow old and become senile. I'm watching in horror now as my dad, who used to be an extremely smart man now has trouble remembering basic things I tell him. I quiz him every few days and he just isn't as sharp as he used to be. He knows it too, and it depresses him. It's the reality of life. Like I said, you'll learn in time.

Your attitude is the typical one of a child who believes he controls nature. You do not.
