They knew he was fleeing, not attempting to do crazy **** inside homes.

So he wasn't reaching for anything and was likely just panicking.

I dunno, I guess you have to assume that any criminal has a gun on them, and i'm sure they were trained to react this way. Was just speculating dunno why you must get so upset. I respect your opinion but think that it may have been a tad hasty to blow his head off.

If he had a screwdriver and it wasn’t a gun, fine but in that setting knowing the person is fleeing and capable of more crimes, they can’t assume he’s there to fix the kids toy. If they see something shiny come out of that pocket, it could be a knife which at close range will get you shot 100% of the time. The second a cop says “hands in the air” put them there...it’s super simple.

So are they just supposed to follow the pattern here like a math problem? If subject A did such and such 9 times, surely the 10th time he's just going to enter a house and not do "crazy chit". No.

It does NOT matter which attempt he is on when it comes to the crimes being committed. Each time he B&E's it is a NEW situation, which in turn can mean that he may do crazy chit. You do not at ANY time let your guard down and treat it as the most extreme situation possible. He is an intruder with intent. Intruders are usually armed and dangerous and the must treat the situation as so. They know god damn well, whether 13 years old, 33 or 63 that going into someone's house, whether as a prank or intent to steal or kill is the utmost lowest form of scum there is when it comes to criminals. It's as personal as you can get without actually killing someone by hand.

Also I am calm, I just tend to be an intense muther fuker. You came off like one of those US vs Euro trolls and that's how I treated you. I acknowledge you are trying to move away from that kind of attitude.

Well said, I concede. With everything surrounding police brutality / blacklives matter, it should be parenting task #1 to inform your child that their hands need to be visible the moment they encounter police. I dunno brah, just sucks that someone lost their life on account of being a dumbass, likely without the intent of causing any harm at all.

Listen here *******. Its easy to speculate from a desk or behind a screen. Us alpha males out in the real world putting in "work" know there is a reason cops blast people for not putting their hands up and having one hand in the pocket, its because some criminals have shot cops that were too nice.

So if you are stupid enough to not put your fukking hands up and hum and haw with one hand in the pocket you deserve a head shot from the popo.

Ya it does suck but people who know and understand english and basic commands while guns drawn at them, but refuse to listen while* in the act of a crime*(sitting in someones elses fuking garage with kids inside), i have no fuks to give. Theres still a simple primitive aspect to mankind : u play stupid games , u win stupid prizes.srs


The fact it took 4 pages and 12+ miscers to get you to slowly (semi reluctently it feels like) have a rational sense of this, is troublesome really.

Dumbest **** I've read on the misc (srs)

I've timed myself hundreds (maybe thousands) of times on draw, shoot, hit at 10 yards. When I was training a lot, I was down to 1.2-1.4 seconds from concealed. When I'm rusty, it's around 2-2.3 seconds. Any random fck with 50 dollars to spare and some range time can be dangerous at 2-3 seconds from the concealed.

Not even surprised... I live in a pretty decent area and hear gunshots far more often this last year alone and the increase in break ins/stabbings. Not to mention, the angry, homeless junkies taking over in swarms makes me avoid downtown and other areas in general.

There was one where a cop was running to cover, aimed and shot once and dropped the bad guy with an AR who looked to be 20 metres away. Took him like 1 sec to aim. Dude looked well trained. Was impressed.

I see a uniform and my natural instinct is to obey commands, slow down, listen etc. It is a physical reaction, I can feel my body behaving that way.

Is that because of my suburban middle class upbringing? I wonder if people with chitty parents who grow up in chitholes have a different physical response. Causing them to run their mouth off, fidget and get theselves shot.

I'm 100% perfectly fine with the way the cops handled the situation. More than enough verbal warning and absolutely no reason to have your hands in your pocket

If anything, I feel sorry for the cops for having to wait the 3-5 seconds for verbal warning. That's a lot of time for something bad to happen
