if you only have one night, I recommend going to Land's end, Ghirardelli Sqaure, or twin peaks if you want a nice view. If you are looking for night life, South of Market has some cool bars, and some nice Techno/house clubs (Halycon & Audio).

Was in SF the past November. It's something right out of a Sci-Fi novel.


Walking down Market St, I couldn't believe the amount of filth and open drug-dealing that was occuring in broad daylight. Around 5:00pm young fresh-across-the-is border dealers, would have hand-fulls of heroin and be surrounded by homeless looking for their evening fixes. This is in broad daylight on a major street. I couldn't believe there was no desire to deter this or arrest anyone.


The homeless out there are beyond hope. They are permanently psychologically damaged beyond repair from drug use and 99% will never re-enter the workforce to support themselves. It's depressing as hell.

How many more countries, how many more states have to be ruined before they realize their fantasy world doesn't promote a desirable living environment for anyone who puts effort in life? Even if they toned down their absurd policies and way of thinking in half it would still be far left, that's how out of sync it's become. like bad it what way? if someone was gonna nuke the city, you probably wouldnt get out but thats probably true of every city if you said to them "hey get out in an hour or die"

Reminds me of the last time I went to teh Warfield for a concert. I had recently torn my MCL so I was walking in full gimp mode. I swear I felt like a wounded gazelle being eyed by hungry lions... After the show, around midnight or so, the streets are littered with people passed out in their own filth that's pooling all around them, people nodding off with needles in their arms still, and then people going through said people's pockets.

the biggest problem would be traffic tbh. Even trying to get out of town during the holidays is legit impossible. This is a REAL image from this past Christmas on the 405 (one of the major freeways in socal). Imagine if chit was going down...

she gave him a dollar. he goes " you got two?" wouldnt even lift his hand up. she goes "no" and he just did a "pssh" and waved her off.

Just wanted chime in and say that I am impressed that there are actually more than a few of us from the Sac area. I work in Rancho and occasionally have to go downtown. I hate it.................... Last month I went to a conference and ended up having to take Light rail from Folsom. Never again! The conference was a week long and I only lasted 3 days. I am just happy that I carry.......


Also can confirm about Cesar Chavez park.

Rancho's up and coming. All the developments and new apartments they have forming around that Zinfandel area's looking pretty good. Turns into Mogadishu once you cross that one bridge, doe. LOL

The mornings are not bad because the normal people are out going to work. In the afternoon it is a different story. Every stereo type you can think of.... Certain people passing out blunts, and rolling them up in front of everyone, to the same people rapping about rape, ***sy in front of some older ladies ect...
