A guy I work with is an old school Marine (Vietnam vet). He said that opening scene of FMJ was deadass accurate of how his experience was at Parris Island.

Ad-libbed, then they became script lines.

I watched the entirety of 2017 MCRD San Diego and a lot of things look different than the 'Nam era. I think they ended up changing things in 1989 to what it is, today. I remember watching an old 60 Minutes video on it a while back.

Think the bigger issue here is that he recorded it and posted it allowing the public to get a glimpse at how drill instructors are ruthless. Pretty sure if the video never came out nothing would've happened.
