.40 hate is overrated . . . 9mm is marginally easier to shoot, but I still like my two .40's. You already have an FNS .40 full size, right?

ETA: I've sold several firearms recently, but even though I haven't really shot that CZ much, and I'm not interested in splitting shooting or training time to learn the DA/SA right now (I will forget to decock when holstering if I just up and go with it, or 'find the trigger' when it's in SA and miss the whole target or some ****), after the CGW work it's too good of a gun to let go
I know there’s some VP9 heads here. Anyone have the grayguns trigger job on it?

In honor of me taking a class with Pat in Austin this year, here’s some of his crazy workouts he does. Normally I’d laugh at someone doing this stuff but clearly works for him. His arms count as guns right?
Nobody needs an AR-15 or AK-47 for home defense.

Except when they do.

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Two people were shot and killed while trying to burglarize a residence in the Colonial Acres neighborhood, according to Memphis Police Department. The shooting happened Friday evening on Myrna Lane near the intersection of Willow Road. Both of theshooting victimswere pronounced dead at the scene.

The homeowner, who asked not to be identified for his safety, said when he arrived home, the men were already inside.

"I see my house being ransacked and the dog was still going hysterical in the cage," he said. "When he saw me he notified the other individual that was with him, 'hey, they are here.'"

That's the moment he said when the suspected burglars pulled out guns, but he was able to get to a hall closet to get his.

"I had my own personal AK-47," he said.

The homeowner admits it's not the first time there's been a shooting at his home. Police markings show where the home was shot up less than a year ago.

"I don't know what's going on but I know I'm going to defend my life to the best of my ability," he said.
I don't understand...

Would I generally recommend 9mm over .40, especially for a new shooter and for a sub compact. . . yes.

But I do think the .40 hate is overblown.

The ballistics aren't identical, but the experts and people whose experience and educated opinion matter tend to say their terminal ballistics are very close, and generally it seems the experts or BTDT guys (to make Cox happy, the guys who have shot people and been shot at) say that capacity is more important...even just a couple more rounds...as it's more opportunity to get the proper shot placement (which is what matters) even if there are multiple guys (and since they are both handguns, you could easily put multiple rounds in the right spot to no immediate effect). And of course cheaper ammo means more ammo and more practice. And less sharp recoil especially in the small gunsiseasier on hands and wrists and elbows and even the big tough guy macho types will tell you that (if your idea of shooting is 150 rounds once a quarter, this would not apply to you, but if you might fire over 1k rounds in one week or less, different story)

But that FNS40c holds 10+1 and as a long time G26 carrier I have no issue with 10+1.

At any rate I have multiple pistols in each of 9 and 40 already, and ammo for both, so, whatever lol

Haven't bought it yet so I think I made it. Shopping for an IWB holster for the full size FNS 40 (all I have is an OWB retention holster right now)

Good thing is what little has to be changed to get the DA better is still plenty fone for defensive purposes. All you need is:
- Cajun Gun Works 15lb main spring
- Cajun Gun Works reduces power trigger return spring
- Cajun Gun Works extended firing pin and reduced power firing pin spring.

That along with relieving some tension from the trigger bad spring, polishing the trigger bar, hammer strut, and FPB will take the oem 11+lb DA down a much more reasonable and super smooth ~8lbs.

Meh, .40 is all but dead. Many new firearms aren’t even being made in .40 any more or at least its wayyy down in the priority list.
Example: CZ was supposed to release a .40 version of the P-10C. Lmao at this rate I don’t ever see it happening. They can hardly keep up production of it in 9mm. Making one in .40 is probably hardly worth the sales they’d get from it. Most parts/accessories third part companies literally act like .40 doesn’t even exist.

Last question for today...

What's the cost if I send you my slide and you installed sights and drill them for the adjustment screws on the Viper? I never put any sights on that G17 slide...

Yeah it is, I've listened to more of his acoustic stuff on there than anything. I know what you mean by him being barely recognizable, the guy's aged 20 years in the past 4.
