If you're a chad you're gonna have HPV at a minimum. Good thing it can't be detected through testing in men unless you got that there wart on your dick.

Nah its cool. It's something I've accepted. Besides I have to be upfront if I plan on dating someone. So it's good practice. Besides I've kind of told guy I've been with and what not.

is it usually a deal breaker right away? How do they react most of the time?

well if its someone I was intimate with in the past they start either start to panic or blame me or get really quiet. eventually they calm down though like the day after or in some cases weeks after. then they become civil about it. or they act like I never said anything and maintain their distance, but they do respond if I say hi. some still want sex.

If its a new guy they thank me for telling them, then we become friends somewhat. but the sexual tension stays. so i try to avoid being alone with them.

Well, at least you are up front with it. Personally, its not a deal breaker for me. But sex isnt a big deal for me anyway. I like to move slowly in relationships

Well I have to be. It's cool to hear that not everyone judges persons with the disease. I'm sometimes scared that I might pass it on without knowing though.

Oh, I remember you now. I was wondering why your username sounded so familiar. Didn't you post something about your partner freaking out on you about STDs because you had a "yeast infection". Can't remember correctly lol.

STD’s are a world problem.

Any STD are huge deal (IMO). It's one of the reasons why I keep my legs closed until I find a potential man to marry. Sex can wait in my book.

Oh all STD's are a huge deal to me too, but Herpes especially since it's not something that can be cured with some antibiotics and also isn't preventable with a condom. Most other STD's are preventable as long as you have safe sex.

Hey OP.

Good for you for accepting. Probably a hard road to get to where you're at. Keep your head up and it's not the end of the world! You'll get an outbreak here and there. With some anti viral you'll have close to 0 outbreaks. Be sure to thank your body for being able to fight off the virus 99% of the time.

It is a big deal but in my case my outbreaks consist of four pimple sized pumps that disappear after 6 days or three days so its not so bad for me. I'm mostly concerned about spreading it though. I don't want to have that possibility on my shoulders.

Thank you so much. Its a bit reassuring but I'm still scared. I can't help but think any guy I end up with can do better. It's risky.

I didn't get it from vaginal sex. I got it from fingering and oral sex. But I do agree that postponing sexual interaction not just vaginal sex is a good idea.

I had decided to get serious shortly before that. Finding out I had herpes just solidified that. I mean I could choose to slut it up but I don't want to do that.

I'm coming up on 10 years of abstinence in July. It's just been me and my hand for a long time. I've got good, CLEAN dick and plan to keep it that way. Women are the gatekeepers of sex so I hold them responsible for how bad things are today.

I'm sorry that this happened to you OP but women have to start making better decisions in men. PERIOD.
