To be fair even in leagues it's not about that countries "Pride" it's just put in the best no matter where they come from. Soccer teams are so mixed and matched anyway, you have teams just sniping other players from other countries then claiming them as their own. The result is what matters, I guess you can't blame them. The integrity of actual home players in nearly all forms of soccer was lost a long time ago.
Even so, like someone stated in the soccer thread. 2 goals shouldn't have been allowed which forced Croatia to chase hard which fell into France's strength. The game was a bit of a joke, and it's funny that a ref can get a call wrong with VR.
