There's no real reason to go to a Walgreens or CVS unless it's location is close to you..

My parents would take me to Toys R Us and that's where I got a bunch of my childhood toys. The Super Nintendo, the Sega Genesis, Mountain bike, GI Joes, Super Soaker guns for waterfights with my friends...... nerf guns...... and all these fun board games back in the day, like Crossfire, Hungry hungry hippos, RISK, ......

then my friends would come over and we had a big water fight with our guns in my backyard but we'd run in the house too even though we weren't supposed to, and almost broke a glass door once because we crashed into it while running and the floor was slippery.


whenever a relative of mine wanted to give me a gift, they would just take me to Toys R Us for me to pick something.

I remember when I was like 8 yrs old, my aunt came to my house and picked me up, and took me to Toys R Us to pick out something, and I got a video game. This was a very important decision. It wasn't every day you could get a new game..... back then you had to play the **** out of the games you had....... there was no free games via download on the PS Store every month..... no free games like Fortnite via download on the internet....... anyway.... I got Those little yellow slips and took it to the back counter. Then on the car ride home, I would open the games and read the instruction booklet. That car ride home is where you had time to learn the controls and stuff, getting you all hyped to get home fast so you could pop that cartridge in and play....... plus, you would learn the "Story" and lore of the game in the booklet.



And another time, for Xmas, my parents took me to Toys R Us and told me to get 5 things I wanted. If it was too expensive, they'd say no, but normally the answer was yes. I would go nuts and run around the store as an 9 year old looking for the best toys to pick. I think that's when I got my first Super Soaker 50, it was yellow. Oh, yeah, and I got a few remote control cars there, and a remote control harley davidson motorcycle. Man I was psyched. Good memories.


I remember Toys R Us, in the 90s, always being packed with kids.
i remember getting to pick out super soakers of my choosing as well ........... would do weekly checkups for new soakers. Getting Mortal kombat II for my bday there
the feels. Easily one of my favorite kid places to go.

Toys r us trips were a f*cking experience as a kid and it sucks they're going away, but that's business. Nobody cared when toys r us started and put smaller toy retailers out of business or failed to update their stores/ business model/ offerings to adapt.

TBH they brought it on themselves.

They didn't want to adapt to a changing market and suffered

Same thing with block buster.
