Don’t encourage him in the first place if you didn’t want his attention elsewhere. You may have feelings and emotional attachments to him but it means nothing from his perspective. You were just one of his side pieces.

Find another FWB.
I told him to date someone else. The main issue is the ghosting. I mean I was a supportive friend to him. After his breakup with his ex, I was a shoulder to cry on (not literally, though he did cry though). Now I feel like I wasted my time supporting this guy.

I should have left him at the mercy of his exes, one of which kept asking him to do favours for her and for years had made him feel like he was bad at sex I might add. The other wanted him to tell everyone they were back together while she stayed with her husband.

And now he's with a chick who had dropped him because her cousin didn't think he was a good match and who also for months gave him short sentence answers followed by lengthy calls when he was starting to lose interest.

This.

But maybe that’s not enough, maybe you should call his phone a good couple hundred times just make sure he’s sure he doesn’t want to answer.

And by the sounds of it you probably haven’t texted him enough times in a row.

Did you try sitting outside his house waiting for him?

Maybe if you go meet this girl and start dressing like her he’ll see he really wanted you and will come back...

Nah I'm done with him. Sent him a message about how I felt about the issue and that I was done.

You need to follow up though. Else you won’t ever know for sure.

You should send a follow up text.

Stop talking about it and responding and people will soon forget. The misc is like an elementary school playground - ignore the *******s, and if they don't get a response out of you, they'll eventually stop.

It's not like on would have freaked if he moved on to someone else. I would be happy for him. To me it just shows a level of immaturity.
Yep, and that stinks. You will likely never know what prompted his ghosting, but you do have all the information that you need to write the story of the end of this relationship. Here, I wrote a rough draft for you:

"Fuk buddy has been a part of my life and we had a lot of fun together. When our relationship started progressing, we learned it probably wouldn't work out. We seemed to both be having doubts about the relationship anyway, especially when he thought we were not sexually compatible. The final straw was when I encouraged him to seek out another relationship and he later completely ghosted me in a disrepsectful and confusing manner,so I ended it."

There ya go. Who cares who ended it, if that ^^^ allows you to mentally move on. You've now had 24 hours to be sad and down about this thing that you could not control. Go forth, think about the future (not the past) and evaluate if this relationship dynamic will work for you again in the future.

Well there you have it. OP became emotionally attached to a fukbuddy, thought they were in a relationship (of sorts) and is treating this the same way women usually treat a breakup whereshehas to be the one to move on first, not him. Goes to show women can't handle fukbuddy situations like they think they can.

Definitely hard to find men who fall victim to that behavior. You'll always find more women getting emotionally attached post-sex than men. If that's misogynistic then whatever.

Look for a relationship, there's nothing for a woman in a FWB relationship. I never had one, I'd feel so used and disgusted with the guy and myself. Get over him and look for someone that genuinely likes you and it's not only looking for sex.

Idk who started this fwb trend but it's sooooo fuked up for women, you're basically having sex with a guy until he finds what he likes, then you move to another fwb ? What the fuk dude, no, sex should be performed if you have feelings for someone or for something in exchange. Having sex without gaining something out of it, even if it's a psychological need is BS.

I agree. I've had a long term FWB for the past 3+ years that was with the benefit 1.5 years of it and the past 1.5+ without. It's been more of a friend situation the entire time as we text much more than we've ever seen each other. I would never try to have another FWB as I learned I am just not cut out for it. I don't want sex without feelings and emotions. With him I had that partially because it's been long term.

Oh, you are correct there, I wasn't arguing that. I was referring to your officially broke down/take a break/meltdown comments that are peculiarly always aimed towards women. It's condescending, inaccurate, and unwelcome. I'm noticing a pattern of miscers going on about "Wow, don't you have any sense of humor?!" for having the audacity to respond seriously to threads.

Let's be real, no chit Jay is a troll. You're trying to tell me someone with the same posting style as two other well-known trolls, who posts openly about STI's and fuk buddies is trolling!? Tell me more! It's still truths that some of y'all need to hear, and in my mind doesn't make it any less relevant.

The first time this happened to me was hilarious. Tried to date some girl, she only wanted FWB, we argued. Then I get home, getting lit, and I'm just like wtf... what was I thinking. No idea why a woman wouldn't take a relationship over FWB, but smashed that ho.

All woman who have been down for FWB though have been very subpar in some way.
