Grats OP, for a second there I thought a friend of mine joined the Misc and was posting pics of his car lmao. He got rid of his Stage 3 B5 S4 and his TTRS for one of these, same color. With a tune on e85 and everything else stock it put down 480awhp, should be good for a 10 sec 1/4 mile run

I don't doubt it, I just put so much down that in another year I will be paid off. I have a client that works for Audi, & was too good of a deal to pass up.. don't think I'll be able to get the same deal on the RS..& I hate car payments. Don't want to get raped on the trade/sell.

I'll just have to admire the RS's from afar, lol, good on ya bud, like the color choice as well.

Thanks bro, srs. I plan on paying it down to the point where if I blow an engine it won’t be that big of a problem. Then I’m going get exhaust, a tune and a cold air intake. I would be happy to get into the 10’s with a 4 door. I couldn’t ask for much more than that.

Yeah, dealers aren’t giving many deals that’s for sure. The rs is supposed to be limited in North America. If you get one, you won’t be disappointed. Plus, I don’t know for sure, but I think they may be collectible in the future due to the rarity. At least I’m hoping.

Is a cold air really worth it on cars these days? This car has a 3.9 0-60. In other words, scary fast, faster than you'll pretty much ever take it outside of a track right?

Also I'm confused, modern engineering is borderline perfected for this age and car. If the car performs better with a cold air, why wouldn't they just put a cold air in there stock? Asking sincerely because I don't know.

As far as the exhaust, do it. Exhaust on ****ty cars is embarrassing and annoying, but a quality exhaust on a quality car with that speed is can be pretty damn nice.

Cold air intakes just increase the amount of air that can get in the engine. Which would need a place to go, thus the increased exhaust. Also maybe even bigger fuel injectors. More fuel, more air, more power.

I think they leave them off from the factory due to emissions. But I could be wrong about that.
And I wouldn’t use it on the road. (much) But It would be impressive at the drag strip.

It's always such a hard thing for me to decide between a car that can launch well or a rwd tire eating machine.. personally if I had the extra money ey I would have went with a rwd fun machine but still mirin op. Grats

Dodge could make the ultimate monster by putting a really solid AWD system (that gives you the ability to have full rwd or split AWD) in the Charger Hellcat.

Yeah for sure, and I don't think I would be able to live with myself if something happened. Its got a 60k mile warranty so, we'll see how I feel in a few years maybe. these are the slayers man, I have a Golf R stage 2. Mad respect. Stage 1, just a software tune will put you reliably in the high 10s low 11s all day long with 3 second 0-60s.

The first upgrade I would suggest to you would be an APR ECU upgrade. Their software upgrade has no other hardware requirements or prerequisites and with 93 octane fuel power increase 476hp and 470tq. Retail pricing for the software is $999+tax and we offer free installation at both of our locations, but for the rest of July all APR software is 15% off ($850+tax w/free install).

Do it do it do it. APR is good, not some no name tuner, my brother has had one on his GTI for a while and the only downside are front tires needing replacement more often than stock and an upgraded clutch in the futureYou shouldn't worry about either.

That is a really nice car. Saw it at the Audi shop the other day. My favorite is still the R8. The new A3 e-tron is pretty cool too. Wish the hatchback A3 would come back.

IF you wanna play it safe JB4 is about to come out for the RS3 which is a piggyback virtually undetectable since it intercepts the signals.

If anyone is interested I found this about a week ago. Looks like Audi is going to hold off production of the 2019 RS3. Guess it’s too powerful for the enviorment.

Audi has been forced to temporarily pull the plug on the RS3 Sportback and RS3 Sedan, due to the implementation of the new Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).
The information was confirmed to us by an Audi representative, responsible for the R and RS models, who also revealed that the two cars are no longer on sale in Europe and other markets.

“The Audi RS3 Sportback and Sedan models are currently unavailable to order in Europe and other markets due to the implementation of the new WLTP standards. We anticipate that the RS3 production will resume in early 2019”, added the official, revealing that the company is “working hard to minimize the number of models affected and gaps in the model range.”

It’s too soon to tell what the fix will be, or better said, whether Audi will have to de-tune the turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that powers the RS3 Sportback and Sedan to make it comply with the new emissions regulations. The unit currently makes 400 PS (395 hp / 295 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque, and helps the RS3s hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds, and a top speed electronically limited at 250 km/h (155 mph).

Volkswagen already took care of the Golf R earlier this summer, making it 10 PS (10 hp / 7 kW) less powerful by fitting a new exhaust system that cuts down on CO2 emissions. Thus, the four-wheel drive hot hatch now complies with the WLTP requirements and has to make do with only 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW).

The German carmaker also discontinued the entry-level Golf GTI for the same reasons, and sister brand SEAT revised the Leon Cupra, making it 10 PS (10 hp / 7 kW) less powerful.
