They are the ones that wanted tourism in their country that's where they set it up so people go there so they can have an economy if they're inviting people and tourists to come then they have to deal with that.

If you start a business for tourists then you got to deal with the reality of patronage.

Lol i was there that night, just cant remember much of it. Everyone should do it at least once. The real beauty are the beaches on that island though, loved it.

Edit: Never saw the fight or any other fights for that matter. I did see one girl passed out on the beach and some guy being rushed away on a stretcher, not bleeding, likely OD'd on some kind of drug. I got offered all kinds of nasty chit but just stuck to alcohol.

When I went years before I went to Bangkok (and looking back), yes it was, overall. Although Makati is supposedly looking really nice, these days. Most of the sex tourism in the PI is in Angeles City, though.

Most of these places aren't even as ghetto as were grew up as a kid

If you go to any dangerous place the paradigm is the same, if someone threatens to hurt you, you threaten back 10 times as hard. It's the best way to survive. People fear being killed too, and there's nothing stopping me from entering their reality and ending it. I'm not just going to sit there and let someone attack me.
