Unfortunately Alaska already seems to have a ton of unsavory characters in it, for whatever reason (source: watching Alaska State Troopers). But they're in the towns and don't appear to have any ability to survive without assistance.

Finding water would be easy as fuark and in this situation I'd have no problem eating anything I need to. Plus I did well in scouts. Yeah I'm good.

Amusingly, people think no running water, no gas, no electric, no tv, no hot showers, no playstation, would be the end of civilization.... when in reality, most of human history were without these things.
Yes people would freak out, but it wouldn't necessarily be the end.

Assume no gasoline because the pumps at the stations are dead from lack of electricity and will soon be looted anyway. Stores only have enough food until the looters are done with them in the next 24-48 hours. You don't know what has caused all of it or how long it will last.
Can you survive right now with what you have and know? Can you survive where you are? If not, what would you do? Where would you go? Really think about it... what if this were to happen today, maybe within a minute of you reading this, would you be fuarked? Or would you find a way to make it? How??
I'd be fuarked. I can survive a week maybe. After that, I have no idea what I'd do for clean drinking water. Maybe I could rig up a still-like system and boil some stream water using a wood fire.

So I've done a tonne of long distance walking and wild camping in a bivvy bag. I own an ice axe and a knife bigger than proudmanlets shaft. I've gone days eating only rice, couscous, and bread for breakfast. Turned my phone off for over a week. I'd have a fighting chance mentally.
I'd have hunting experience if it weren't illegal (thanks Europe), and I'd finally get to make fire (thanks for making fires illegal in NP's too) so I've got no qualms with killing for survival.
I've never used bottled water for hydration, only ever had problems finding water when walking along summit. I have several water bottles so I'd be able to stock up on 5-6 liters at a time.
Humans are the defining factor in this.

I love survival chit.
I was taught at a young age. I definitely could.
The only that would be unaccounted for is looters and chit while you sleep, that makes the situation much more precarious and dangerous. Youd need some legit shelter

I've found an ampitheater in the forests west of lake tahoe but nobody was there. It was a giant boulder with logs arranged like benches in front.
Luckily illegal growers catch you early and give you a warning. Kinda stupid that you have to worry about a criminal syndicate while trying to enjoy nature. You don't wanna be anywhere near those chemicals they use anyways tho.

Another time I was camping in north central Florida with a friend and his younger brother. We were in the tent sleeping and I woke up hearing a distinct 2 feet walking up to our tent rolling feet heel to toe to try to creep. The steps stop next to my head and I turn to my back and look up to see a large silhouette standing above me. I let out an involuntary scream and the "person" ran away. After that I dont go into the forest anymore without a piece.

A famine doesn't seem likely, but you never know and they are easy to take hiking or whatever. I get water from a well so that isn't too hard. Assuming it didn't work for some reason I have a couple of water filtering options from hiking. 1 of which is good for like 10,000 gallons in it's lifetime.

The only people that will truly survive are the rich that live on the coasts that can just sail their 100' yacht full of food and fuel to the middle of the ocean, and if they run out of food they can just fish. I don't even think doomsday preppers would be safe even the ones with a cashe of weapons stockpiled. they WILL run out of ammo eventually by simply missing their target, and the bodies piling up around their homes will be a sign to stay away, but also a sign that they have food and people will get desperate to take it, and probably form a large clan to overrun your house.

Well the first order of business b if to grab your nuts and get ready to fight for survival
Next step is to prey on the weak. Many of the weak will be dead soon anyway so you have to take from them and build your stash while the gettin' is good

I do a decent amount of backpacking and fishing in the mountains that are within a few hours walk of my house. If I can master my magnesium fire starter or get some kind of protected fire going, and make sure to retrieve all fishing lures (the water is very clear and not all that deep typically), I would think I could survive nearly indefinitely provided I can get into the wilderness without being attacked on the way. I think I have a few hundred 9mm rounds for my ruger as well.
Would probably die of illness or something eventually.
