There are MUCH bigger things to worry about if it comes down to that, but to imply that the government will go nuclear on its own citizens is an asinine argument. Same applies for use of tanks, helicopters, etc to mass kill.

if they made an IQ test requirement to vote, no one would be able to vote.

Let's do a different take, high IQ individuals usually live in cities, where the demand from city swelling folks for guns are a lot less... crazy.

False.

The numbers of defensive gun uses (DGUs) each year is controversial. But one study ordered by the CDC and conducted by The National Academies’ Institute of Medicine and National Research Council reported that, “Defensive use of guns by crime victims is a common occurrence”:

Almost all national survey estimates indicate that defensive gun uses by victims are at least as common as offensive uses by criminals, with estimates of annual uses ranging from about 500,000 to more than 3 million, in the context of about 300,000 violent crimes involving firearms in 2008.

Another study estimates there are 1,029,615 DGUs per year “for self-protection or for the protection of property at home, work, or elsewhere” excluding “military service, police work, or work as a security guard,” (within the range of the National Academies’ paper), yielding an estimate of 162,000 cases per year where someone “almost certainly would have been killed” if they “had not used a gun for protection.”

LOL. over a certain limit they do a background check that is even weaker than a background check they currently do when you purchase a firearm..... and its a substance that isn't protected under the 2nd amendment.

but, what about the smart fertilizer or banning fertilizer?

Sorry. Did misread.

It flips. Mass shooting use legal guns mostly, most gun violence uses illegal guns.

AKA guns they weren't allowed to buy to begin with, but bought anyway.
So in other words, criminals commit crimes. And its already illegal to do so.

So further gun control would help....how?

edit: I think we might actually agree with each other. LOL

Lul his suggestion is unenforceable. Plus went to college and can't do basic math. Tell him to lookup the number of firearms in the US, then extrapolate the man hours and logistics needed to supervise everyone for a full year. Then think about the futility as thousands of Americans would use it without the cop around anyways. Fukin LOL.

Homicide rate has dropped since the 1990's. The fact is, whether you like to admit it, the gun ban in Australia resulted in less gun related deaths. Am I suggesting this can be replicated in the US? No i'm not because I don't know. Assault and sexual assault cases have either remained steady of has slightly increased mainly due to the increase in public awareness on child protection and domestic violence as data can only be collected by those who are willing to report. It can be safely assumed that these days more people are willing to report cases to the police. So the slight increases are statistically insignificant.

You have to understand as well that I can go and get a gun if I want, the process is long and difficult but it can be done. This is why your regular crazy Joe doesn't have a gun, but a farmer will have one.

Ok. Hypothetically: Now that all guns are banned, what do you anti gun folks want to do about the guns already in circulation?

This is a perfect example as to why there may never be any real movement on this issue. You blindly refused to even try to answer the question put forth, and it was a valid question, and instead just blurted out a factually incorrect statement.

The whole arguement fuking falls apart when the government makes it VERY difficult to actually get a permit to carry a gun on you, yet the ones who want to go kill people can go to the corner of any hood and buy a gun.

Murder is illegal, it still happens, it'll happen with or without guns.

How are some of you so brain dead regarding this topic lol. Durrrr, another shooting, we really need to ban guns guise, that'll fix it all! That same guy is going to go rent a U-Haul and run over 50 people.

How was it incorrect. Japan had legal gun ownership until we nuked them. China did not and Japan owned them. Australia had legal gun ownership and Japan left them alone. Japan refused to invade America because a gun was hiding every blade of grass.

Russians killed 40 million of their own. Mao killed 100 million. Rwanda killed a million. Hitler killed easily 10 million.

Good luck in the next world war with no weapons and 2.6 billion people who hate you within a 3 hr flight.

Oh I agree we have many problems in our society... guns are just one of them
Yeah blame the tool and not the person who used it. People like you don’t want to look at the reasons your society is so defunct it drives people to go insane... it’s because YOU support and love the sick society we live in.
