Extremely close with my cousins.



Used to be really really tight with them when I was younger, huge group of us would always hang out on weekends, school holidays at grandmas house. Now that I'm older, i'm only super close with a handful of em as the rest of em all turned out to be fuks up lol.

But the ones I'm close to are like my siblings/best friends.

You spent the weekend swimming (at the local lake I assume), fishing (at the local lake I assume?), and bbqing (at the local lake I assume?). You sound like southern hicks who would have tons of cousins. Real whites (at least the ones we're talking about ITT with no cousins) spend the weekend brunching, drinking wine, and watching Netflix.

imo, this is a big reason why divorce rates are so high. the larger the family unit the stronger the support network.

one isolated nuclear family has the odds stacked against them in this degenerate society.
The sociological explanation is that in ancient times Europeans had a strong ethic about being an individual who gains "fame" from his individual exploits. You aren't tied to your family, you're out alone doing your thing and making your own decisions. So, being around family too much is going to feel like people are controlling your decisions because they're likely to give you their opinion and that will be removing your power if you take the advice, or have to put up with it, too much.

Most of my coworkers are black people from the south side. Even though they have solid careers and make decent money, most of them still live in the same chitty neighborhoods (or close to them).

If you went to my home town I doubt more than a handful of the 600 people I graduated with still live there (mostly white people in a nice neighborhood).

If we're talking about actual citizens, in my experience it seems like white people migrate more. It might be because in general people naturally segregate themselves, which means white people have more options to move.

My cousins live thousands of miles away. Kinda hard to hang out with them every day on the front porch.

My wife and her cousins are tight. One of them is like a sister to her.
