Yes, to a point.

Its rude to discuss certain things, to discuss the qualities that would make you a favourable partner in complete anonymity on the internet isnt one of those things.

I’d say as a functional adult, you need to know how to cook. I judge people who are “lol I don’t know how to cook.” If you can read and follow instructions, you can cook.

Speaking of cooking, gonna try to make pho this weekend and report back. Won’t be as good as my mom’s but aiming to be better than the nearest pho place.
They said she's gone too far this time

True. Lol at marrying an American woman though. Best you'll get is a 2nd gen immigrant who cooks only as half as good as her mom did.

For ex., my sis...and her cooking is horrible and she says she is "not feminist" but when I say I want a woman who can cook well, she gets angry and says I'm misogynistic.

People in general learn the skills they need to know. So women know how to cook today for the same reason that no men know how to change oil today: there's no fukkin need.

We have prepackaged processed / canned / frozen food thrown at us left right and center, and it is easy, and I mean EASY, to eat well while knowing absolutely nothing about cooking. I was in a dorm as a freshman in college that didn't evenhavea kitchen, and all the 300 kids in there made it just fine. Why? There was a Chick Fil A 50 yards away from the front door. I'll bet 95% of us didn't know how to cook, but that was cool, because there was no need to cook. So only the people whowantedto cook learned how, and again, that's maybe 5% of people. Cooking is basically a hobby at best these days, if we're being honest.

Same thing with changing oil. Who the fuk knows how to change their own oil? Why would you ever have to when you can pay $30 to get it done by Mexicans? I can barely even buy the 5W-30 and the oil filter for what they charge. If I ever needed to, I could learn how to change my own oil quickly. But I never have, because I simply don't need to.

If you look at it, knowing how to take a quality angus pic is a more valuable skill for girls today than knowing how to cook. Slooty pics are literally their form of social currency. It's their #1 way of getting attention, and arguably their #1 way of finding a life partner. If they needed to learn how to cook, they could, but why care when Chipotle can feed them for $10 in 2 minutes? Taking good pics is a MUCH higher priority then learning how to make your own fukkin burrito, so why are we surprised when they spend all their time on what's important?

Girls are just responding to the incentives they've been given, just like everyone else, so don't hate the playa; hate the game. If you're looking to point fingers, don't look at feminism or Tinder or soy in the water or any of that chit. Look at the 21st century society we've built that throws so much processed food at us with such reliability that people can literally live their whole lives cradle-to-grave dependent on it.

It is one thing to "not list qualities" because you're not on trial; another to not even mention a single thing that you directly bring to a relationship.

Wife and I both cook because we like it. We have a cleaning lady that cleans our entire place in about 4 hours once a week. 5 if she does the windows too (inside and out). You can still have plenty of time to chill with your partner if you cook and it is GOAT if you can cook together without fighting.

This thread is useless without pics. Here's some fewds I've made recently for my husband. All made from scratch btw (except I didn't actually hunt down a cow to make the meats etc.):

T-bone steak with baked potato, cucumber and grilled veggies:

Turmeric veggie rice with potato/beef patties and tandoori style chicken legs with some spiced yogurt:

Random baked goods I've made over the past month to take to events/parties. Different kinds of fudge, milk chocolate pistachio tart and cannolis:

Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone

Mirin dedication. Keto is damn hard. I've run sprints of it but nothxJeff. I'll stick to Paleo.

Yea, lol. He puts salsa or chilli sauce on everything. These are his plates, mine are usually pretty boring. Meat and veggies. Meat and veggies.

Yep. If something breaks around the house I fix it. I change the oil in our vehicles and keep the yard up. Wife does laundry, cleaning and the vast majority of the cooking. I'd feel like a loser asking my to take care of everything around the house if I wasn't pulling my weight

I do most of the cooking, mostly because I truly enjoy it and the wife takes the 2 babies then I don't have to deal with them because I am cooking.

Also I enjoy doing dishes, nothing better then a spotless kitchen dawg.

This. During the week when I'm working, I'm only picking up stuff, putting away things and cooking/washing dishes. The bulk of the cleaning and laundry is done in one day on the weekend. Usually Sundays. That still gives you the entire day Saturday and evenings during the week do go do your fun things with your partner.

Nah.

My gf just texted me that dinners done. Slow cooked bbq ribs, corn bread and mashed cheese potato things and greens. Luckily I'll be home in about 10.

My ex wife didn't really cook. Guess that's why there's an ex there.
