Thought you were saying he hit on her, was shocked when he shot.

Hit on female officer last month, was exciting. She didn't know what I was doing at first, then her whole demeanor changed and she became a girl again. Was going really well until I got into my head and akwardly ended the conversation and left. The approach anxiety and danger of her emptying her magazine combined made it as exciting as hell.

My dad wrote a book as a retired cop in a major urban city, this kind of stuff is why they don't play around, and the nice trusting cops get killed.

"Sh!t! Suspect pulled out a gun and shot at me! Let me fire a warning shot so maybe he'll get scared and drop his gun! I need not be concerned with further fear of severe bodily harm or death, OR with the suspect attempting to flee into a civilian population with a loaded gun he's clearly ready to use!"

Do you all have a comprehension problem? Obviously, there are cases where a cop doesn't have the time or the situation does not allow for this and has all the rights to pull the trigger... But in many cases I see plenty of opportunity for a cop to fire a warning shot, use a taser, backing away and trying to de-escalate.
