It never would have received an iota of the attention that it did (most likely none of us would have ever heard of it) had he shot a white person, and this thread wouldn't exist.

Are the people attacking Zimmerman and defending Martin completely oblivious to the actual facts of the case?

The “child” was a physically strong, aggressive, drug dealer and thief/burglar who was responsible for several burglaries in Zimmerman’s neighborhood. That night he was casing houses for burglaries while carrying stuff to get high with later on. Zimmerman rightfully followed a thuggish non-resident after the fact of several burglaries in his neighborhood very recently. Then Martin circled back around and attacked him, was on top of him doing a ground and pound and Zimmerman shot him.

Seriously, are you people joking when defending Martin? Attacking Zimmerman?

Zimmerman is not Afro Peruvian LOL. His dad is a white American man, and his mom is 3/4 indigenous and 1/4 black maybe even some white on his mom's side.

Zimmerman had no idea who Martin was or what his intentions were, was instructed to fukkin wait for police, and followed somebody at night.

If I was fukking following you around at night, you'd better be ready to run or fight, because I do not want to be your friend. I'm assuming Martin went with the fight option.

Every other detail about robberies or previous offenses has absolutely no bearing on the incident, so lets stay with what actually went down.

This post will be completely ignored by the pro Zimmerman potatoes. They want to live in their little echo chamber, and you make far too good of a point to he acknowledged. That might force them to question why they chose the stance they did.

Zimmerman was a wannabe cop with a history of unstable and attention-seeking behavior, including charges of assaulting an undercover officer, a domestic violence restraining order, and apparent false claims to have participating in a police ride-a-long program. It was only a year after the shooting he was picking up new DV accusations and barricading himself into an apartment to have a standoff with police. He's had multiple run-ins with the police since and ripped people off for $100k selling a painting he traced off of Shutterstock as his own original work. The guy's lunatic scum with a history of conning people.

The most generous possible interpretation is that two degenerates with low impulse control collided and Zimmerman was doing something stupid and provocative but is telling the truth about Martin circling back to confront him, and that it genuinely escalated when Martin laid hands on him.

Based on the facts we have, there's absolutely no reason to believe that over the less generous interpretation, that Zimmerman was stalking the kid, confronted him, and, given his history of anger problems, escalated it himself thinking he'd be a hero for "handling it", until he found himself losing a fight he started.

We'll never know. This is why only potato people don't mind their own business. Zimmerman is clearly a potato person.
