2019 you can get your test levels checked at the doc and get test if your low and withering away noob. Probably won't need it myself until 40+ have no problem with muscle and low body fat. Being that I have been working out and in the game for over 10 years so I have learned a lot in how to manage foods and how to lift correctly. Could care less about taste of food every morning I hit 2 handfuls of spinach straight up, 1 cup of carrots, banana, eggs and almonds. Then I make a coffee with coconut oil and cinnamon, for lunch and dinner I just eat salmon with some spices on it baked. I buy huge bags from costco and rice/ blueberries and raspberries. Extremely efficient in dieting and don't care about boring food I care about being healthy and looking good. Every now and then I will eat out at BD mongolian grill or sushi.

Don't drink or smoke. Maybe once a month or so red wine, only drink water. Go for walks on work breaks and lunch while listening to audiobooks. I don't sit around watching youtube/instagram like most people. You have only yourself to blame OP , need to put the work in even harder as you get older and if you lived unhealthy your not going to be like me sorry bro.
I just want to share the knowledge I have obtained throughout my life and hopefully change someone's life.

Genetics is huge. I see it every time I see my sister who has a different father than me and my brother.
Yeah, for his age group, he is in the 1% of the 1%. That is about 1 in 10,000+.

At that age it isn't necessary. That may be something to address in the 40s+. Over the years, I went from 144-212lbs with consistent lifting and eating. Progressivs overload. At 212lbs I found out my levels were lower than my dads and I was still the strongest at my gym even though gains were slower. I would argue that after gaining that much, I was also getting close to my genetic potential and they would be slower anyway.

Thanks man. I am hard on myself like most of us in this community are, but this year (due to my job demands) I have had to face the facts of "good enough". I think I am ok with that now but still always want more.

You aren't going to look big or impressive at my height dude. There is an incredible difference in overall body proportions between someone who is 5'9 and 6'1. It's really simple the shorter you are the easier it is to look jacked because you have better proportions for bodybuilding.

Only genetic freaks like David Laid are the exception but he isn't natty anyways

That’s because middle age people don’t need to workout. They are done playing sports, work, family responsibilities, and are married so they don’t have incentive to look good. They still have capabilities to build muscle. If whatever reason they would get sent to prison and all their free time is spent working out they would get jacked. Also the strongest dudes in my gym always seem to be in their 30s

I'm leaner than ever but it's harder than ever to gain and maintain mass. I was doing great until 35 but my test has been noticeably declining since then.

He is right though. You can put in all the work in the world, but without that key component, you will be severely limited and will not look like or perform anywhere near the level of someone who is on.

Yeah...and?? Even if this is true it's just another sacrifice he's willing to make. Dieting, the time commitment you give, skipping parties to lift on Friday evening are all sacrifices to look good too so always curious why people frown on cell teching and whine when people do that but not other sacrifices.

It's literally just a sacrifice you're not willing to make so you cry about it as unfair. It's no different than fat people who aren't willing to make the sacrifice to diet. Or the guy who says he doesn't have time to lift because he doesn't want to sacrifice the time to get it done. You're not any different than those people who hate for those reasons.

And don't give me this sh*t about you shouldn't have to take a risk with your health and that's why its unfair. Life really isn't anything more than picking and choosing the sacrifices you want to make to get you where you want to be. There isn't fair or unfair. Just what you're willing to give.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

It certainly helps but it’s nowhere near the factor that it’s given all the credit for. This is why I don’t listen to people that have no experience with it...they have no measure.

There are countless other factors that no one gives near the attention or credit to.

He doesn't really look all that big. He keeps a really low bf so that helps his muscles pop. Pretty sure his face is why he's made it in the modeling game, not his physique. That's not to say it's a bad physique or anything, definitely not, but just be real his face is why he's famous.

I am bigger and thinning than I was in my 30s.
Eat in a deficit to lose weight.
Hit your protein and fat minimums to stay healthy and keep your gainz.
Lift heavy and do HIIT to look and feel awesome.
Use the internet to learn why you should do these things and how to do these things.

First off he's not 185 anymore. So do you want to talk David Laid 6'3'' 185 or current David Laid? Because your original post was referring to when he actually was smaller.

I understand he needs the supps for fitness modeling but I think his face is actually good enough for real modeling so he could’ve gone that route too.
I think he made the right decision

Frankly, David Laid is marketed as much, if not more, to young men as he is for the purposes of appealing to women. So the physique is probably more important for him.

Actually the older you get the more you should work out.
As you age your muscle mass will decrease and the fluff will increase
