Wow that's full on OP, glad to hear you made it out alive. There have been a few stories on here where miscers chart their slow descent into death from cancer or other terminal illnesses, glad you get a second chance at it brah.

I have a-fib too but it has been very manageable thus far, we might need to worry about that when we turn 55+, but nothing to be too concerned about for now brah.

That's pretty gnarly op, glad for you and your family that you recovered. You looked wicked in that before shot, and hope you're back in it full bore sometime soon.

Scary stuff. Personal health crisis like this is a nightmare of mine. Glad to see you are alive.

You're lucky that it was only 3 weeks though. Have you been granted to lift again? I'm asking cus I wasn't allowed to lift for 6 months for way less (basically salts in my liver and kidneys from amphetamine / amphetamine salts use and creatine). Now it's way harder to get back into the habit of gymming again after a long lay off. Hopefully my gains will be back soon

Holy **** man, 2 months. What did you have? How is it even possible to recover from that level of inactivity? I was in there for 1 week bro and when I sat up I nearly fainted, all the blood rushed straight to my feet like it was filling them up like water balloons. Your body just forgets how to live. How'd you recover?

Yeah brah squatted 160kg for 10 or 200kg for 1. Legs were my strong point once upon a time actually lol

Stay disciplined brah. You know the way somewhere you just gotta discover it again. And I've been cleared to exercise but not lift

Crazy how you just randomly got it OP. Any idea what the prognosis on your heart is/long-term implications? Do you need to start seeing a cardiologist?

Dilated cardiomyopathy usually leads to heart failure and progressively gets worse and worse. That's the worst part about all this, but I haven't been diagnosed with it yet, hopefully there is some way out because I'm young. The doctors in hospital said that my heart could get scarred from the infection.

Basically, a scarred heart can't contract properly (scar tissue doesn't contract), so the kidneys retain water to try to keep blood pressure up. Then the heart has a higher workload, so more scar tissue forms. It's a vicious circle.

Fingers crossed my heart isn't so bad that I'll get caught in this vicious circle. 5 year death-rate for heart failure diagnosis is something like 35-40% even with the best treatment.. Which is pretty scary **** brah. I'm seeing a cardiologist as soon as the hospital gets in contact with me.
to the best!
