MD is obviously the best.
Ballers. Highest income per capita(I think)
Mountains to the west,
Waterfront for days on the East
Rural areas for cheap for dat hunting/ATV life
Homes on the water for dat boat life
And if you wana get a taste of LA you can go to Baltimore and experience the poverty, drugs, and crime you miss from your liberal utopia back home.

I was literally on the fence about leaving due to certain circumstances but after getting settled in im so glad I didn't. id be a fool to leave beautiful San Diego. I wouldn't be able to leave this place. any desirable place is expensive btw.
lol at not living in socal or anywhere on the west coast. San Diego is literally everything I hoped and more. all the positives people spoke about and that I read are true. the negatives are blown way out of proportion but there are a few. hell even the police here are really nice and chill. just can't beat it. 90% of the extreme homeless and traffic is contained to LA and SF.OC gets some overspill as well.

My rent in Coronado was 925 a month with one roommate. 3 Blocks from Coronado beach. Milfs everywhere. Extremely Low Crime Rate.

The best part about seeing people chit talk CA is......they save up so much money, put in vacation time months ahead of time, and completely put off their normal lives to come here for a couple days. they tell their coworkers "im going to Cali man. cant wait to leave!" take hella pictures. spend all that money...
then log onto an internet forum and say "CA sucks!!"

Grew up in socal in the 80s and 90s, my parents bought their first house for 127k a quarter mile from the beach. They had no idea how good they had it, saw a stat stating only 2% of millenials can afford to buy a home now in San Diego.
I enjoyed my childhood here, but only the weather and beach are the things holding me from leaving. Everything else is 10x worse from 20 years ago.
The massive unfunded pension issue will crush this state eventually, its snowballing so fast, you can only hand out so much from the pot, baby boomers got a full size orange and gave the following generations the peels.

Does "Quantitative Easing" and the value of the US Dollar have anything to do with the ridiculous cost of living in CA?

California itself is an amazing state. Awesome weather, scenery, activities, etc. Its 100% the people and the politics that suck.

There's literally nothing about California that I find appealing enough to make me contemplate moving there.
