Safety features and structural integrity is light years ahead of 2000 model cars, that alone is worth it. Not to mention way more HP and comfort

Whenever I see guy in these threads trying to justify he's driving a piece of shet because it's "easier to work on" my dick gets hard. If that is what matters, buy one of those indestructible 3-4yo Hondas. You dodge the main depreciation and you've got a reliable good as new vehicle and you'll have a decent trade-in later on. Or get a Hyundai with 5 years warranty on em.

Nobody wants to hear about how much of a peasant you are, we don't care that you are poor.

brb it's cheaper to work on
brb have to take the bus to work for a week because I'm a retarded piece of shet that can't afford to get a car under warranty and now I have to work on my car until the early morning hours

Get this : you can work on modern cars as well. You think mechanics are wizards or something?

Get this as well: you can buy a hobby car to work on for your enjoyment instead of buying a piece of shet you need to rely on because "it's way betterrrrr".

Or do you really think there are many people getting a chub because they get to change their 2004 Accord's oil this weekend?

brb putting my kids in a car way less safe, way less reliable and smelling like an old dude's ass so I get to have so much fun cleaning my valves

This.

But wait it's the misc where it's "cool" to throw away money, especially at the expense of traditionally masculine exploits.

I love being able to fix things when they break.

I got that from my dad, who also used to make over $150K/Yr.

Of course there are things on a car that I wouldn't touch because the work isn't worth the fix, but for the most part I fix what I can.

As a grown man I'm willing to bet when you car breaks and you're sitting around like you're neutered your chicks pussy is drier than the Sahara.

But hurr durr, what if I throw money at it, chicks love money.

Here's the rub: Most miscers ain't making the kind of money that gets a girl wet, just another cause of deluded folks aggrandizing their situation.
The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

That's why grandma's apple pie rocks and yours sucks.

No payments. Bought with cash. Nice Lexus SUV at this time. Not sure what my next car will be in a few years when Iโ€™m ready for an upgrade.

Iโ€™d love an electric, like a Tesla SUV, but i need reliability.

just absolutely at the mercy of every single person they come across.. oh flat tire? sit around calling your roadside assistance praying that they can help you.. actual breakdown? pray the mechanic isn't ripping you off cause you have literally no idea what happens under the hood besides "witchcraft".. extends into every facet of their life too, faucet stops working, call a plumber.. computer having problems? geek squad. can't cook, pay someone to do it

all these claims about the time they save by not doing the work themselves mean nothing when every minor problem brings their life to a grinding halt until backup shows up

Improved safety standards and structural integrity for the event of a collision. Improved suspension and traction control options for in-climate road conditions. Improved handling/performance. Higher levels of reliability. Massive upgrades in luxury options. Etc.

If you want to argue that its smarter to drive a 20 year old car to save money/stay debt free fine. Its just nonsensical to argue that new cars don't have anything to offer over an older model vehicle. Pure cope.

Flat tire most people can change, except most women. I dont think that's a reasonable argument.

Actual break down... I have a 100k warranty and BMW gives me a loaner car for free, while my car is being fixed. It's always a current model year or 1 year old new BMW as a loaner, its great. So free and free.

Faucet issues are usually pretty ****ing easy that a simple google search can fix it.

I'm not sure who calls geek squad as most people I know can fix their computer problems unless they are old as ****. Everybody has at least one buddy who can do that, I have fixed a couple friends laptops when they've had issues.

cook? I ****ing hate cooking, unless I'm BBQ'ing meat. I pay for meals or eat uber eats. Feels good.

I pay $300/mo for a landscaper. Would pay more if he charged more too.

I pay $250/mo for a house keeper to come in every other week too. Feels good having a completely clean spotless house.

Life must be hard if you can't even fathom the fact that your free time and what you make whilst working outweighs having to work on your daily driver.

"B-b-bu-but my daddy was a m-m-misc CEO and he worked o-o-o-on h-h-his car as w-w-well."

Well your dad raised a poor retarded cuck so he's not really a reference tbh. Pretending you're driving a retarded old car for the great experience is just delusional as fuk. Especially given the examples you gave. Just lmao.

Like I said, nobody cares that you have to drive a beater, just don't pretend you're driving an absolute piece of shet old car, not even a cool one, because it's the superior way of life. I worked on my cars when I was younger, I did the maintenance, I can still do it, I'll never unlearn it. And you can still maintain modern cars. Like I said, do you think these cars work on NASA classified propulsion systems? In fact if you buy something decent that attracts car guys, it's easier than ever because there will be a youtube video showing you how to fix anything.

brb going to the salvation army for clothes
brb guys on youtube restoring Lambos in their garage but it's impossible to maintain a 2020 BMW 340 at home
brb guess the local dealership hires literal warlocks to fix a VW Golf these days

You literally said that you can't be arsed if the fix is somewhat troublesome. Oh great you're a fukking man, able to change a flat tire and shet.

Not anything worth missing was my point.

A ****ing radio that doesn't work when I'm not wearing a seatbelt?

Big deal.

You wanna know how many times I've thought I needed better traction control while I was driving?

Zero.

And I live in Chicago.

When it snows guess what- You drive slower, you don't go "hurr durr my car has 75 traction settings so I'm gonna do 100".

You wanna know how many times I needed better structural integrity in case I was in an accident?

Zero.

It's like I said, the majority of new features on cars are nothing more than making them idiot proof.

If you're not an idiot then you won't have any real use for those new features.

Not including mechanical failure, the vast majority of accidents are avoidable.

It's great that your car has amazing structural integrity but I'll take my chances paying attention to the road.

Bison yet again with the words of a guy who knows nothing about cars and advancements in vehicle technology as a whole

Also poor as fuk and unable to cope.

"Nah guys, this cardboard box is way better than a house. When it's super hot in the summer, I just wear less clothes and sweat harder. When it's cold, I snuggle up to Bob behind the pawn shop. It's easy. Houses these days are so damn difficult to maintain. Have fun painting your walls every 5 years suckas!"

Like that other guy said : You don't care about cars and you want to stay debt free: awesome (it really is, cars are 'dumb' expenses). Pretending you're not missing out on anything including experience, luxury and safety? Don't kid yourself. You can't say you like cars, that you like working on them and then pretend the 15yo, zero heritage, zero appeal, zero horsepower, shetty car is the way to go.

18' Dodge Challenger R/T--$612/mo, will keep until warranty runs out then trade into a Challenger or Charger 392, or a Mustang GT500 hnghhh.

I also have an Escalade that I don't even drive but have just for family trips and big grocery hauls. Kind of dumb since my 3 kids fit in the Challenger just fine. But I only pay $133/month for it so whatever.

04 Subaru Forrester-paid off, don't drive it, will probably sell it to my friend for like $1500.

03 Chevy Malibu-paid off, dont drive it. Will probably give it to my other friend when he gets his license reinstated.

Just sold my 73 Nova to some kid about a week and a half ago. Practically gave it to him for $3200 just to get it out of my space.

No, retards like you are always getting hoodwinked into paying for "the experience".

It's like them fine dining threads where some dummy like you inevitably replies:

Going to a 5 star restaurant isn't about food, it's about the experience.

Are you ****ting me?

So you're willing to pay 10X the food's worth because they put some fake flowers in a vase?

It's like Seinfeld said "When you go out all you're doing is trading one chair for another".

Obviously that was an exaggeration for comedic purposes but the point is it's all the same.

Never once while driving have I sat there and pondered the experience of it, I could give a ****.

All I'm worried about is that my car runs fine, and that I get to where I'm going in one piece.

Experiences for me are like going out and getting yucky with the boys, not the rigmarole of driving from one place to another.

The "joy of the experience" is all in your head you ****ing mental midget.

Yeah, you actually kinda can.

It's very simple.

You pay attention to cars in front, on the sides, and behind you.

I mean can I predict that somebody isn't gonna see me and randomly say "**** that guy" and plow into me at 100 MPH?

I can say with about 99% certainty that's not gonna happen.

So which other actions am I trying to predict?

I'll tell you why I don't get into accidents, cause I pay attention and act on what I see:

* Ex "I noticed that lady in front of me is playing with her phone instead of watching the road, I'm gonna pass her up (or let her pass me) so she's somebody else's problem"

Meanwhile how many morons are out just passing other drivers just because, with no actual strategic reason?

Or the light turned yellow and you're trying to beat it- OK well first thing you have to be aware of is "how long is the intersection?".

Small 4 way intersection with one lane a piece, you'll be fine.

The more lanes, the bigger the intersection, the longer you're in that potential danger zone, etc.

I guess it boils down to being perceptive, and I guarantee I've perceived things in way many haven't, which is how I've never been in an accident in 18 years.

How many ITT have given that type of thought to driving?

I'll bet almost none.
