When you make false accusations you know that you are tarring someone with the brush of a rapist thus ruining their lives, as well as taking away from actual rape victims. The court system is, well in theory anyways, based on the principle that it is better a guilty man walk free than an innocent man be punished, therefore I would think false accusations are morally worse than the actual crime.

The world is full of chitty people. There are a lot of men that do take advantage of women and rape them. There are also a lot of women that will lie about being raped for a multitude of reasons. Understand the risk involved when you meet a woman online or at a party, you don't really know her and you're taking a risk going somewhere in private with her because she can claim something happened that didn't. You have to live in the world based on the way it really is, not the way you want it to be.

The amount of false accusations would drop like a rock overnight after about 2 convictions. I hate when they lie and say "false accusations are only 2% of rape cases!", a complete farce. When they say that they're only talking about the false accusers that got convicted of the crime. False accusers are almost never brought to trial, let alone convicted so that statistic is complete horse chit. If they kept stats on the amount of men that were accused, totally exonerated and acquitted, and the woman walks away scott free to remain anonymous I bet THAT number would open some eyes.
