Not a great movie but way better than the previous two. TLJ was an abortion of a movie plain and simple. The force awakens was a ****ty plagiarism of a new hope at best. I couldn't even turn my mind off and be entertained by the first two. This one brings mild entertainment like the prequels but even that is being nice. The best thing I can think of about this one is it doesn't try to shove sjw bs down your throat the entire movie.

Don't care what everyone else is saying.

Been a die hard fan since the early 90s and I thought the movie was awesome.

JJ had a lot of fixing to do, and I thought he handled it well.

Was it frantic? Sure.

Were some points weird and not make a lot of sense? Sure.

Was it an awesome movie and an apology letter to fans for Episode 8? Yep.

That last one alone is a reason to see it.

I feel like Star Wars was fixed through this movie. It's an emotional roller coaster that had a great ending.

Read the leaks, and yeah, it seems kind of lame taken out of context. Go see the movie and judge for yourself.

I had hopes for the movie when she killed chewy in cold blood.

I was like damn they just went game of thrones season 1-5 on us.

Then they show chewy the very next scene and realized they went game of thrones season 8.

The **** is wrong with these writers scared to kill off characters

This was one of the things that JJ threw over his shoulder. I think they share one line during the whole movie and there's zero romance. Finn has a new interest in this one.

Apparently Force Drain and Force Heal was a thing in Legends. I disliked it so much at first but if it was established as canon already then whatever. And I liked seeing Ben bring Rey back to life. It shows Ben doing what Anakin couldn't do. But then now I'm thinking...hold the **** up. The CHOSEN ONE couldn't do what his emotional teenage grandson could?

So this movie “fixed” Star Wars by bringing Palpatine back? Yeah, this movie is pure garbage.

They started in a big hole due to that chitshow that Rian Johnson crapped out in the last one, but I thought they did what they could with it. You can only polish a turd so much. The action was pretty much non-stop and the pace was quick enough to keep people entertained and not have time to notice the glaring plot holes (of which there were several).

The biggest issue I had (for anyone who's seen it) is that there was a scene near the end that would have provided a perfect closure for the whole thing. If the movie had ended right there, the whole movie would have been much more satisfying, but it didn't, and instead they fell into the trap of cliched and formulaic movie endings. That was a disappointment, but I thought it was pretty good for the first two hours.
This is almost exactly how I felt about it. Better than last jedi by light years.

let's be honest if it was a real thing all of our favorite characters could be healed and brought back, luke would have healed his dad vader, obi could have healed quiqon. Jedi could have healed padme. It make no sense it was never used to save anyone in previous films the fact it happened now makes it look dumb they didn't heal the others.

Also bringing back the dead and saving ppl from death is what palpatine used to turn anakin, so now palpatine looks like a hero and wasn't a liar, and that the jedi were liars about letting things go and not trying to bring back the dead. It's just dumb man! This sht don't make sense.
I just want to share the knowledge I have obtained throughout my life and hopefully change someone's life.

its way lamer in real life than on paper. Bruh every moment was nonsensical ESPECIALLY the ending.

Honestly i feel like people emotionally needed this movie to be good because it was the end of the saga. So we have been justifying compete garbage as a way to cope.

brah.....

the ENTIRE reason this saga ever started in the first place was because Palpatine convinced Anakin to come to the dark side to save Padme.............which apparently should have been really fuking easy since Kylo and Rey can both do it.

Thats why this movie is an abomination; it not only has plot holes in itself, it created massive plot holes for the first 6 fuking movies as well. The entire star wars saga falls completey apart due to this movie.

That and the fact force ghosts can apprently wield lightsabers and use the force to affect the real world. They are also already dead so really they are invincible. So then tell me why yoda and obiwan never helped Luke fight Vader or the Emperor....my point exactly

From what I remember, the idea was that Palpatine, together with his Master, Darth Plagues, were obsessed over the idea of eternal life. Their machinations, and experiments with the Force, involved so much twisted and perverted dark Force energy, that the Force itself responded by creating Anakin. So Palpatine "created" Anakin, but not intentionally. Anakin was the reaction to the darkness of Palpatine and his master.
